- NickyB. Yes,that is what I meant, in my own way 😁
If , as is Law , the Finder had lawfully taken Him to be 'chipped, then a Scan would have revealed he already was. The person /family who ended up having Him were not, seemingly the ones who 'found' him . - 2019-04-08 14:34 NickyB
- if new owners had had him chipped it would have been seen he was chipped - clearly doglost.co.uk lists of found and lost dogs shows there are still thousands of dog owners who dont chip their dog, or update the chip

- Yes Marbie, Sadly, Boots was Not Scanned within that time - either he was never taken to a Vet or a Vet had not considered it 'best practice' to Scan Him; &, of course, it is the Law to Report a Found Dog & the Law to Microchip our Dogs.- if this/these has been done then Boots would have been back much more quickly , with His Rightful owners . - Glad Boots is home so was he being kept in the Crewe area? Sad if he was and it was a genuine family who had him but missing for 3 years and only just scanned for a chip? Hope Boots and his family are happy xx

- Please keep checking on 'Lost & Found Yorkshire Terriers in the UK' on Facebook as there are quite a few 'found' dogs at the moment.
