The company is pretending that owner is harassing them as a result of what happened with Suzi. Polish police don't want to do anything with owner complainLast edited: 2016-05-27 13:09:37 by Krystian - 2016-05-27 07:38 G

- how sad i do hope that the belgian authorities and the french co-operate, its awful for the owners of suzi.. wish i could do more, but i agree if the papers in those countries would run the story and raise awareness, perhaps?

- I have had a long converstaion with the officer from Avon & Somerset who have really tried to do all they can to help this owner ( despite language barrier)
They have spoken to the ports and they are now able to confirm that a registration number given as this vehicle did board the ferry and also paid a fee for 'cargo' which is how dogs are listed. It is unlikely they would pay for this if did not have the dog- however their statements often changed by the couriers we can only take their word that this was the same vehicle that picked up Suzi.
They first stated she escaped from a car park in France and French police dealt- this was followed up and no records found.
They then changed to say it was on the border so was Belgium and dog escaped onto the motorway from an open window and was hit by a lorry. The fire services attended and dealt with the body and buried her. This was also followed up and UK police were informed could not trace any records of this.
It is thought that as ports are verifying the van left UK with 'cargo' it could be true that she is not in the UK.
If abroad I would advise owners to get a full written statement of events from the courier including locations and times then follow this again with the relevant authority ( police fire if in Belgium).
I would also advise a national newspaper in both France and Belgium to publicise this story.
If any one knows any links or sites for Missing dogs in those countries that maybe able to help then please put deatils from here onto any such sites but also to put on here so they can be followed up ( France Belgium)
Thank you - 2016-05-25 13:32 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- Suzie was travelling in the front of the van with the driver as owners didn't want her in the back in a crate.
- 2016-05-24 03:14 Seeks
- Blackberry w got a message about that crate on Pup's page.....traced it back t the lady who found it but it was a cat one. I got pictures of it the lot so it couldn't have been Suzie xx

- Are there any details of the crate in which Suzi was being transported? A crate was found abandoned in Leeds last week (I know it's miles away from Bristol and Dover). The crate was like a large cat box suitable for airline transport with a label on the side - "Live Animals". There was evidence that an animal had been in the crate but no animal present xLast edited: 2016-05-23 20:12:03 by Blackberry

- Because if there have been other reported cases it would be extremely useful to know if there was a favourite place for disposing of similar "cargo". That would help enormously in narrowing down the search area.

- Further to Captain's comment, maybe Action Fraud may be interested in this-

and may be able to offer advice.
Is this an isolated incident I wonder? - 2016-05-21 19:54 Captain
- CJ - Police Contact Co-ordinator - As police have given a crime reference number can Suzi be cnsidered as stolen?

- Just seen this from someone's facebook posting which gives a bit more about the story. As dog not documented on ferry then theory that she never left UK probably correct, though.
"This dog was believed to be transported from UK (Bristol) to Poland
by a pet courier company (sent to the family home).
The owner received a message that it escaped in Belgium on the car park close to motorway and has been run over by a lorry.
But all explanations and evidence seems to be false.
They are changing their mind with every question, so the owner doesn't believe in it.
There is also no evidence of him on the ferry ticket, seems like it has never got there.
It is more likely the dog is still in the UK and the courier company doesn't want to say the truth. All has been reported to police and lawyer.
Why I am writting this?
The dog (if alive) is probably still in the UK, lost between Bistol & Dover (I know long way)...
Please please share! The family hopes to get it back."

CJ or Admin... I just a bit confused (not hard to do) The above details say Dover South West CT15 and the alerts have gone out to BS which I think is Bristol... Was Susie taken from Bristol and meant to go through Dover or is Bristol another port that goes to Dunkierka / Calais? Sorry I just a bit confused xx - 2016-05-20 18:28 Seeks

- have the police been made aware because this looks like a scam
- 2016-05-20 10:19 nicolapicola
- Krystian, you need to check with the dog warden for Dover on a daily basis if you have not done so already. (Also, dog warden for Bristol in case Suzi was dumped before the courier left there). Consider what route he may have taken to get to Dover and check the dog wardens for the areas along that route. All their details should be found via google. It has been found that they don't always check the microchip or can't always find it on a dog's body so you need to contact them regularly to check if they've found a similar dog.
- 2016-05-20 10:14 Krystian
- Hi Nicola the owner , he last seen the Suzi in 14 of may in 10pm.
- 2016-05-20 10:08 nicolapicola
- Just to check. The last time the owner saw the dog was 14 May???? (there is a similar dog on PetsLocated that was found in Ramsgate, Kent on 29 April, though probably a bit younger and thinner http://www.petslocated.com/pet-information.php?pid=f6a596516e6a0ced2e4e657c987f7944 )

- This is terrible. Should not the dog be listed as STOLEN as well. Can owner's friend make a report to police about it? I do hope doglosties in Bristol area can keep a good look out for it. I bet it isn't dead.

- Have rung for more details....The dog was collected by a Polish courier and owners were charged £400 to take the dog back to Poland....on ringing to check update they were told that the dog had died in his bed???
Then he closed his facebook down.
Owners friend Kate who speaks better English is going to email admin with full details of what they have on this guy.
Have established that the prom actually means ferry port and was meant to go through Dover...though I suspect the intention was never to deliver the dog but only collect the money. So we have a dog with a Polish chip number that has probably been dumped in the immediate area.
