He's fine a bit fatter but happy to be home, someone had him and he'd changed hands, the lady who started the Facebook group got an anonymous tip off and staked out the guys flat, managed to get wilf off him and brought him home at 1.30 this morning! Was very surreal last night but so happy he's home Xx

Didn't see your text until this morning debsm- I was sleeping whilst no doubt you were celebrating Wilfred's return. Where had the little lad been? Is he okay? So glad he is back safely. :)

No news yet, spoke to Dog warden kennels Viking Oak kennels. They are positive he'll turn up. Just double checking with Petrac that his chip has been updated to Lost/STOLEN
The Facebook group has got almost 1000 members overnight. Amazing and thanks to everyone online far and wide and on the ground locally for their support, help and kind words. Debbie &Gary Hunt x

I have updated the PDWRA FB page with further details - this page is widely shared all over the country.
Baydogs

Looking on Google Maps, I see Riverview Park Scout Group in the area. What about asking if they'd look out for him too? And the library.
Plus there is a golf course in the other direction. Have you put a poster in the Golf Club? This side looks less inhabited - wooded, with much more cover. Try and enlist Postal workers, delivery people, farmers/farm workers, and bus drivers.
Baydogs
Brilliant, because he may have wandered into other people's gardens and be filling himself up on food left out for cats or bread put out for birds.
debm
Thanks we've done that about 100 flyers thru doors, bus stops Dogs bins etc
Baydogs
I gather it is demodectic mange which he is being treated for? In a way this is good because his bald patches will make him more distinctive and less desirable for resale. Important that he keeps up with his medicated baths etc though- so if anyone has picked him up (and is reading this) you need to return him or start forking out on vets fees or his skin will get worse. So whilst you are at the vets why not just get him scanned instead :)

Flyers through your neighbourhood doors with a contact number could also be useful.

Do you walk him from home? If so, try walking the same routes squeaking his favourite toy or calling his name in a non-urgent fashion.

Hope you have some news today.
debm
Baydogs thanks for the advice. I was looking on Gumtree last night. I've tweeted all the local papers, radio and organisations and he's all over Facebook too. He's timid and won't approach strangers but like most pugs he's ruled by.his belly.

Poster and details added last night to the PDWRA FB page.
Baydogs
Sorry to hear that your lovely boy is still missing debsm. Have you asked for your local radio station to put out an alert? Try and get press coverage too.
Also watch out on sites like Gumtree in case he is advertised for resale.
debm
Thanks. He's still missing. We've leafleted and put posters up, but and contacted vets, dog warden, Facebook etc we believe someone has him and hopefully will make him too hot to handle.
