Some, eased to see that Cheater is back home, but the very first post on here was mine and I did say put posters up.. It is a shame that people do not do this, because they are the most important part of getting his face about. Anyway had my rant, so pleased he is back home. Xxxx

Chester is safely home! He has been found by some builders, a short way from his home. His owner is so relieved and delighted to have him back

Looking around the village, beyond the church, we spoke to a woman who knows the family and the dog. She said Chester is only a youngster of 6 months. The house is behind a tall wall and closed gates opposite the "square" part of the village on the main road. We walked up a neighbouring side track which led round to the back (away from the fireworks?) and where there were other houses and then a large field of rape beyond. Apparently, we were told, the fireworks went off at Bibury House on the other side of the main road and were very loud. So my guess is that he would have run towards the back of his land. The grounds of his home seem dog-proof, with walls, back and front. Could he be lying injured within the grounds or paddock somewhere? Have they done a thorough search? No posters seen.

Chester ran from his house near the square in the centre of Bibury. There is no news this morning

Can you be more specific about exactly where he was lost. He's such a tiny little thing and it would help a lot to narrow the search. It is so busy round the village with tourists, I would have thought he should have been spotted there.
