DW has emailed back to say that no owner has been able to be traced via the chip and nobody has come forward to claim the dog. Their investigation into this dog is now closed. RIP lovely boy. X

Thank you to Jason, from Better life dog rescue who has helped me with the microchip, and we have got details of a possible owner.

Bad news is the contact number is not connecting. I have emailed the dog owner and written to them. Lets hope they get in contact and wish to collect their pet.

I have access to the specific databases of the countries abroad, well the ones that run the chip scheme properly anyway...Hoping I can trace the original rescuer and then the home as such. I will ring Brent Council in the mornign and ask for the chip number and we can then go from there.
