Bo Yes you arew right, we will have to wait, and see
Bo
The owner said her dog had got out of the home via the garage. The only facts known are that the dog was in a poor state when found and has been PTS. The dog was also under vet care according to the owner and easily proven. Perhaps before judging and sentencing the owner - it's more intelligent to wait until facts are known. The irony being this website is set up for, er, lost / stolen dogs.

My heart goes out to this poor old dog. The photo of him is pitiful. Hopefully the RSPCA will take appropriate action. There can never be a valid reason for a dog to get into this condition or be left on his own to fend for himself. The problem is that even if the owner is found guilty of neglect the penalty will be pathetic. At least he is not suffering any more.

The RSPCA wont comment presumably in case it may become a court case (Subjudacy) I know this because my husband worked as an EHO, and had some dealing with them a few times within his work.

So sad. Nightie, night lovely lad sleep tight, and have fun wkith Trudie (GSD) who is waiting to play. RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for you. Run freex(HUG) Nlow you are back to full hralth.Last edited: 2016-06-03 19:14:14

There's a lot of anger about this dog - I had a nosy at the owners FB page and to be fair she had many photos of him and he did seem to be loved. No excuse for the long nails and other issues he had though. We had a much loved rescue cat that developed a lump on the side of his neck when he was about 21 years old.
Our vet said take him home for the weekend but he's living on borrowed time - if someone had seen him during those 2 days they may have have wrongly accused us of cruelty... as Claire said, the owner is being investigated.
ClaireC
Bruinsmum, I think it is an ongoing investigation by the rspca! That was the last I read.
Meru
Oh so sad and heartbreaking. RIP darling boy. Run happy and free at the Bridge beautiful sweetheart xxxx
Bruinsmum
The finder says the poor friendly boy was shivering with cold and starving thin. He carried him home to get a blanket to warm him up before calling the RSPCA. He was found sat in the middle of a bus route. Can anyone explain how a dog with an owner was found in this state?

He has been PTS - the owner Celeste Fonseca has commented on FB saying her dog was under veterinary care and on a vets advice, she let him be put to sleep.
ClaireC

It seems that it was speculated that the dog may have to be put to sleep due to the extent of his injuries and that has been taken as fact & repeated as such, however it has yet to be verified & the RSPCA have issued a statement that they are unable to currently give any details x

There appears to be much speculation across FB but nowhere can I find confirmation that this dog has been PTS.
The RSPCA have posted that they cannot comment at the moment as there is an ongoing investigation-

I would the RSPCA would do everything they can for this dog.
However the RSPCA are a close door and if the dog was put to sleep.
They would not feel they have to tell us.
Can Dog lost get any information please.
I think we would all like to know the out come of this poor lovely old dog.
I think if he needed money spent on him to give him a better life.
I for one would give

I have been following this poor boy on Facebook. My heartbreaks for him. If he has been dumped rather than lost I would take him in a heartbeat.
ClaireC
Lets hope they find those responsible for this dog. Ive seen on fb the many comments in regard to the rspca and just feel they have taken the dog in rather than just leaving it to die eventually out in the cold on its own. I dont know like the rest of us that if this dog has been PTS then I feel sure it would have been in the best interests for him. Emaciation can sometimes do so much irrepairable internal damage that we do not see! Whatever the outcome then he would have known kindness.

Can't find post of someone looking for dog like this that's been missing for 14 weeks. Can anyone think who that might be and check its not same dog

Poor poor dog. Sincerely hope there is a perfectly reasonable excuse for allowing this dog to be in such a sad state of what looks like neglect!
