This dog is a local dog and through the DW was handed back to owner. Very sadly owner does not share the same responsibilities to the safety of their dog and indeed road users as it would appear that she is allowed to roam! I hope she can stay safe. X

May possibly belong to a traveller is another (yes some travellers dogs are now.chipped!)thought,and they may have moved on and dog left behind! It has happened before!

Rosie I am sure Doglost do now....We were told by the vets only that it was a very long way from where she had been found on the registered address

We are not cleared for Data Protection but DL are and are on it to xx

Pat every one involved is trying to get the owners....The vets rang and I know they hadn't had a return call yesterday but in addition Doglost are also checking as is the Dog Warden xx

Thought that was the idea of us all having our dogs chipped.

2 more COMMENTs -1) i have taken more photos if you are in any doubt just text or phone me; 2) it's term holiday here for another few days. it's always a possibility that someone looked after the dog for owners, and does not know what to do in case of a dog being lost.

UPDATE. Vet's contact with registered owner has not gone anywhere. local FB groups shared everywhere. I looked through all english springer & cocker spaniels marked as lost/stolen etc. on doglost.co.uk and also listed her on other sites with photos. Local dogwarden contacted also. Some people on the local FB groups said they had spotted this dog around for the past 2 weeks. After all our efforst, we still heard nothing, so the dog is going to our local dogwarden this afternoon. There is a no-put-down policy in place here and we've been told they would try and trace orig. registered owners, and failing contact with them, from day 3 they'd make efforts to rehome her. Very sad that such a lovely, cuddly, fit dog should not be claimed by her owners.

Adutt just want to say Thank you so much for ringing us....Your absolutely right this baby is SO like our Pup....The head white is slightly longer but where Pup's concerned I hope she is found by someone like you!!

update: dog is still with us. We are waiting to hear back from warden and vets. vets has left VM with the number registered w/ chip registry. will update when any news.

She is beautiful....I rang as we had calls saying it was Pup....Sadly it isn't but the vets did find a chip...

She not Cassie or Ibby and I just hope when the chip number pick up ythe message she will be a missing one coming home....Just now I would like to see that :-) xx
