- Other Info Clara has recently moved from Churchdown to Hucclecote and does not know the area well at all. She may be travelling across the fields trying to make her way back to her old home, have been spooked and is laying low in woodland/shrubbery or have been fortunate enough to find access to a kind person with food. Similarly there were lots of work vehicles close to our home on the day she went missing so she could have accidentally 'hitched' a ride and ended up anywhere. Heartbroken without her.

- Thanks Skywalker99 We have tried doing that, but I think it's definitely something we should try again. I did contact the cats protection branch when she first went missing, but again, there is no harm in my doing it again. I'm at a loss as to what to do next :( I am missing her SO, SO much.

- Still no sign of my gorgeous girl anywhere :(

- Thanks janiejewel1649 I think you are right I need to climb that fence and look in the wooded area, I think I may need to use a ladder to get over it and will take my phone in case I get stuck in there myself!. I'm not sure who that land belongs to...It may be the highways agency as it is located next to an A road. Chances are if she is in there the noise from the road will be scaring her too :(
I am also going to do a couple of midnight/early hours walks at the weekend too. We are currently doing 10-30 in the evening and 5-30 in the morning. Our other cat has been rubbing his head putting his scent on all manner of things close to our new home, so hopefully she will pick up on that. Also the dogs old bedding and her litter tray are by the back gate.Thank you for your support, Caroline x - 2016-06-08 18:10 Carolinefp70
- Thanks Elizabeth, will find that bridge. I think it may be roughly in the area my husband is searching when he walks the dogs early in the morning so will seek it out and cross that. Will try your scenting trail at the weekend too. XLast edited: 2016-06-08 18:18:32 by Carolinefp70

- Caroline, have you printed out or saved a google maps of Hucclecote to Churchdown ? You are probably aware that you can go down I think Larkhay Rd and get across on a bridge and walk to Churchdown. The more times you are able to walk this route the better chance if she is still out . I think the scenting trial I mentioned on FB is def worth a shot. Whisper dog was only a quarter of a mile from my trail which was a new area she detoured into on the day before we got her back. Cats are even better at tracking x

- I would take a walk aroun the wooded area which you mentioned She could be hiding behind a hedge, and take something with you with her scent on if you can; her blanket maybe. Also rattle some treats too. And of course keep calling her. Of course she will know your voice, and your scent too. Also leave something with her scent on in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, and gates too. If safe to do I would look for her night/early morning. Paws xd.Last edited: 2016-06-08 08:49:23

- thank you very much for all of the very welcome advice janiejewel1649. Seem to have hit a brick wall, with no confirmed sightings at all. I put her in the local papers for 4 nights but that didn't result in anything positive. We have leafleted locally and are now trying to go further afield. We have postered in our new area and in the old area too. To get back to her old home Clara would have to travel around 3 miles, some of it across fields and farmland - this is definitely something that we are investigating. There is also an overgrown fenced off wooded area behind our new home and she could be hiding out in there. There is lots of noisy building work going on near us and I wonder if she could be too frightened to come home.Last edited: 2016-06-07 19:49:13 by Carolinefp70

- It is a very good chance that Clara is trying to find her way back to her previous home Cats dont like change. As you say someone may have found her, thinking she was a stray, and is keeping her. I would put this in a newspaper which has a large distribution. Also ask friends, and neighbours to share, as well as Doglost. Also contact local radio stations, and they put it on for you. And of course poster in the relative areas. Paws xd.
