Terribly, teribly sorry. It will take a long time to be abl eto deal with this, but Roxie will alway she with you. What is bound on earth will be bound in heaven :-) Some fur angels are just not meant to be here long - they have already earnt their wings. In time may your hearts know peace. Thank you to everyone that took the time to share the posts, come out on the searches with us and help put up posters around the areas.

As stated below, unfortunately she was hit by a car shortly after our most recent sighting of her. I just want to say thank you once again and I really appreciate all of the help and support that we have received.

I will be in that area later today around 7pm leafleting for a lost cat. We will all have photos of Roxie with us and the owners contact details. If we see anything at all or hear anything from anyone on our travels we will call straight away x

A facebook page has been set up for Roxie 'Find Roxie The Pointer Missing In Basildon Essex'. A group of people will be out searching and postering this evening.

It is such a shame she was frightened away.
I think she is trying to get home going by the where she has been.
I hope is anyone spots her they do one of two things.
Either call the owner or get low to the ground and calls her in a low voice.
One thing a lost dog does not want is to feel they are being told off.
My thoughts are with her and owner and fingers crossed.

I have been out for the past hour and half, i live on whitmore way, so due to last night sightings, i went up to holy cross church and spoke with some dog walkers, i walked around the graveyard where they are strimming and cutting the grass, alot of noise, 3 of the men there report seeing a dog take flight once machinery started, so if it were her, shes not there now, walked around other field but too open for a dog to take refuge, i went over to northlands park, spoke to the groundsman who says no sightings, spoke to fisherman and lots of people around the cafe area including cafe worker who asked for a picture to put up, unfortunately i didnt have one, i did see posters put up at bus stops on whitmore way on my way home....

I am not a dog lost helper but have text owner and offered my help.
Owner said she is seen at night .
That is good as many main roads in that area.
Looking at dogs movements I think she is trying to get home
My fingers are crossed

have any email alerts gone out for roxie, owner please try get some posters up in the areas she has been seen, so that people are aware she is lost, pound lane shops, whitmore way shops, lamp posts, bus stops

Received a call this evening for a possible sighting on Church Road just off of Whitmore Way in Basildon. Had no luck when we got there but if people are around the Whitmore Way area please keep a look out!

Owners contacted The RSPCA Southend branch lost and found and requested Roxy be entered onto the Pet Search South East website as well. Will keep the phone on 24/7 till found

I have text a friend who lives near Pound lane.
They walk their dog in the fields behind pound lane.
People are sharing
Hope Roxie gets home soon.
She might even come back that way and come home herself.

Thank you for all the posts so far! We were aware that she was spotted in Northlands Park, as well as Pound Lane, but as yet we are still unable to locate her.
