I met a gentleman tonight down at the garage and he had a jrt and asked him if he had heard of anyone recently getting a young bitch and started talking to him about Thelma and gave him a flyer of her and he said he would pass the word around about Thelma as he knows a lot of game keepers. Never know it might throw something up! went out to Petworth late evening and had good scourer around just in case she is out about early evening but nothing. Come on Thelma darling we know you are out there somewhere stay safe until you are found xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Went to Cranleigh Agricutural show today, which of course was a much smaller affair as no livestock because of Foot & Mouth restrictions. All v. worrying and sad. Nevertheless, horse show, trade stands, gundogs etc all there, so plenty of places to poster. Postered for Monkey GU4 and Thelma at entrances, catalogue tent, horse show and trade stands. Celia Cross rescue were there and displayed posters on their stand, so did Surrey Union Hunt supporters. Gave out lots of posters to people at the ringside watching terrier racing and gundogs. Nice family who live v. near Frog Farm took a post. Nice to meet new DL helper, Ellywelly (see Rosie reunited GU6) who turns out to be an old friend from my teenage pony club days around here (!!). Thank you also for postering Ellywelly and yes please do poster for Thelma in Shamley Green/Holmbury St Mary areas. PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I shall create a flyer with Thelma on one side and Monkey on the other and distribute round the Cranleigh Show - can I help you Patsy by taking posters or are you going anyway?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Am going to Cranleigh Agricultural Show this Sunday and shall take some Thelma posters with me. They usually have terrier racing, so lots of JRT fans will be there . . . PxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

PaulaK and myself went to Millbrook RSPCA today. There were several JRT's and crosses too. One very similar, but others we did not get to see. Definitely worth a trip or a phone call at the least. I have a photo of one, but on close up the white around the mouth is not so uniformed as Thelma. Not sure why we don't see owner on here too much, maybe limited access, but I have sent a pm to you with my number if you would like to discuss more. Address and phone for Millbrook - Millbrook Farm, Guildford Road, CHOBHAM, Surrey, GU24 8EH or 0870 0101840. Sue x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Forgot to say they were that helpful that I had to get 4 men to push my car out as it plastered too stuck in the mud. How embarrassing!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I went to the dog show at Balls Cross and got totally plastered (no no no not in that way I dont drink) in mud. I took lots of flyers and handed them to people who were only to pleased to take them off me. Stalls displayed them as well. Nearly everyone I spoke to had seen Thelma in the Countrymans Weekly and some are going home to put the flyers in their vets both Thelmas and Monkeys. All the posters bar one have been taken down in Petworth. (I wonder why?) did not have any left to reposter. Please is their anyone in the Petworth area that help keep the posters going? as I am at work all the week and unable to get that way. Oh dear Thelma darling I am doing my best and keeping my fingers crossed that some one might hear or see something after todays efforts. Stay safe Thelma until we find you xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Update on Thelma. I went into Petworth this morning (no posters seen at all) So I have put flyers through doors to many to mention also put poster up on main notice board in Petworth and the childrens play park ect did a lot of the shops and some were closed so put through the letter boxes hoping they display them! asked a lot of people around the town and they took some flyers from me as well. No one I spoke to had heard of her missing. Also went into Tillington and Frog Frog Farm where she disappeared from (lots of out buildings the man I spoke to said they had been searched) it is just fields and open land for as far as the eye can see one side the main road and Petworth Park the other. I ran out of posters and flyers hoping too that no one takes them down. Are there any more helpers out there to help poster some more areas like Duncton Upperton ect? unless word gets around people will not know! as it is not going to be easy a lot of time passed and not many people knowing until now. Stay safe Thelme darling after this morning keeping my fingers crossed for you xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Really need to poster a lot more than what has been done. I will phone Thelmas mum later and find out what they have done (do not want to go over what they have done already) Strange no sighting of a JRT since she went missing wondering if some one has taken her in as her mum told me she is very friendly. Not many helpers around this I dont think! I will do my best now. Come on Thelma where are you? show yourself darling so you can go home stay safe darling until we find you xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi, Have just emailed a pic of Thelma to HO - hopefully it'll be good enough to put up, but as it's pretty much all we have I guess it'll have to do!!!! Have shown Max, her boyfriend too as he's a older dog and really missing her - wandering round the garden, lonely and desperate :o( There are four children involved here too so let's get heartstrings tugging and get the person with Thelma to give her back!!!!! Sorry I can't help as I'm not particularly close but I'm sure all you local helpers will do a fine job!!! xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have put a written a notice in Midhurst Graneries window also at the bottom end of Midhurst common where most people first enter to walk their dogs. I know you have done DW and Vets ect. I made some of the council workers aware also but this is difficult without a photo. I told people she is white with tan face and tan blob on her back and that she is very freindly. Please do not forget what I said on the telephone this morning anything I can do just let me know you can leave a message on the answerphone. If you are tied up with the children and get a sighting you can ring my mobile 07835244707 and if I am not at work will do whatever I can. Hope Thelma is home soon xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I telephone Thelmas owner last evening to try to find out who had and had not been notified. I spoke to the baby sitter and left my telephone number with her so they could give me a call as Thelmas owners were out. As yet I have heard nothing from them I asked when we might get a picture but she only really knew about Thelma going missing. Not to sure what to do now though. There must be lots of rabbit burrows out that way too. I do know that Frog Farm is just up the road from were our DW lives Stay safe Thelma until you are found darling xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Thelma well. Come home soon Thelma xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
