It is great they are home. It is sad act of life people will buy dogs this way usually because they are being badgered by the seller. Often this is the only way stolen dogs are reunited with their owners. I myself have to rely on someone either spotting mine if gotten loose or buying her and taking her to be vet checked and scanned.
caring4dogs
It's great that they're back home, but not so great to learn that people will buy dogs from a bloke in a transit van.

WONDERFUL NEWS both dogs are back home. A man bought them from a guy in a white transit van and he gave them to his girlfriend. Her friend recognised them from all the social media posts and the rest is history.

Bradygrange, also ask your local radio station to put out an alert. As doglover has commented, try to get as much publicity as possible.
If you have a CRN can you send it to Doglost please?

Hi bradygrange, yes I have seen that post on facebook. Do nt forget to check all selling sites as this is probably where you are going to find them as they are beautiful puppies.Notify all vets in area and chip company and dog warden. You have to make them TOO HOT TO HANDLE...not everyone does facebook. Get a real sob story in the local paper, they like the sob stories as this gets everyone,s attention.

The police have been informed. CCTV is being checked as there were 2 transit vans very close to the premises when the dogs went missing. I have advised the owner to inform the microchip company and get the dogs flagged up as stolen.
