Owner needs to get professional advice. I would also as their owne vets to supply medical eveidence about Buffy.
Vets are not allowed to PTS any dog before the 7 days holding by council unless has been in an accident and the dog is suffering. They have broken the law here and should be bought to justice!

This is so heartbreaking. I am so very, very sorry to hear about Buffy. RIP darling girl. Run happy and free at the Bridge beautiful sweetheart. The vets were totally out of order putting her to sleep without finding out who owned her.

So shocked by this, a full explanation by the vet should be given to the owner of Buffy! If this had been my girl i would shouting from the roof tops, so tragic. rip Buffy.

I hope the vet has the decency to apologise to Buffy's owners in person...and explain why. I would be so angry if Buffy's had been my dog, as well as being distraught.

Totally agree Doglover. I am in tears here. Buffy is the image of my own Digby, with the same ailments, and am disgusted that such a thing can happen. Hope the owner's take action against that vet. My thoughts are with them at this most distressing time. Run free at the bridge, beautiful Buffy, where my two black labs will be waiting to play xxxx

Totally agree with Skywalker99 .. Apart from being totally distraught , I would be so so angry... Something needs to be done and clarification needs to known to the owners as to why this happened. I am fuming!!!!!!!!!M!M

That's appalling and I hope Buffy's owners take action against the vet....unless there had been some catastrophic event there is no excuse, she can hardly have looked like a starving stray!

Sadly I was too late getting poster to vets 😢 The vet had already pts buffy with out contacting dog wardens or trying to find owner. I asked the vet nurse to call owner and explain This is a very sad and upsetting time for the family. Run free at the bridge buffy girl xx

Oh my God......why on earth did the Vets put Buffynto sleep!!!!!!!!! Had they contacted owners first????? If not then why not!!!!! I would be devastated and so angry had this been my dog. Poor Buffy RIP sweetheart xxxxxxxx

Buffy was picked up by a passerby who took her to a vet in Stone Cross the owners were not aware of this and the vets put her to sleep. So very very sad for her family.

Just seen on our local pet lost site. Buffy was taken to vets who put her to sleep. Don't know anymore as yet but sure someone will let you know exactly what happened. My heart goes out to owners and RIP Buffy

Just got back from looking Rattle Road, Castle View., Peelings Lane Westham and the duck pond roads around that area no sightings. Informed people who will be looking our for Buffy. Horse rider looking into fields off Peelings lane.
