- Thanks Baydogs. She is under lockdown,I watch her every move in the garden, and I don't take my eyes off her on our walks.Doubt I could be so lucky a second time with an old girl like her.
Saw an old friend the other day,who has a dog who is a year younger than her,so she is actually 16!You would never guess to look at her. - 2016-07-03 11:24 Baydogs
- Glad that you are feeling better Glenda. A missing pet is undoubtedly a traumatic experience that no-one wants to repeat.
Stay close Billy :) - 2016-07-01 14:35 glenda
- Once again, thanks for all the support.
I felt so vulnerable, and really thought I was going to collapse, but I found the strength, with help from all you lovely people who posted here,to focus, and keep on keeping on.x - 2016-07-01 14:32 glenda

- Shes back! She approached some friends of a friend, not too far away from home. They looked after her for three days, and then called me when they saw the poster.
Shes very well, fit and healthy, relaxed, and catching up on her sleep.
Thanks for all the support and encouragement! - 2016-06-27 15:57 glenda
- Thanks Baydogs,it means a lot.
I really do feel she is out there, and I'll never give up searching. - 2016-06-26 18:56 Baydogs
- Glenda, this pond life does not have Billy. He doesn't have any of the dogs he claims to have. Please do not even consider for a moment that he does.
Keep sharing, postering and keep phoning the DWs in that area.
If you generally walked her the same routes each day with her it might be an idea to look in those areas because they'll be familiar to her.
You say she loves her food, so ask any cafes restaurants or takeaways if they'd look out for her by their bins as she might be scavenging from them.
Keep pestering your local radio for regular alerts, emphasising her need for daily medication.
Ditto local newspapers. See if they'll write a small piece about her.
Hope she turns up soon. - 2016-06-26 18:32 glenda
- I see,yes,that was a mistake,I won't do that again.still,I didn't mention,or reveal on the picture about the claws.
- 2016-06-25 22:25 sar
- Try not to give away any small features of Billy on this or any other public forums which unscrupulous people may use to make you part with money. It must be heart breaking for you.
- 2016-06-25 12:59 glenda
- The police dont want to help.they think its guesswork.
- 2016-06-25 12:43 glenda
- yes,i believe so.I got one of those scammer type calls asking to pay money.
Billy has black markings above her black claws, which make her claws look really long, and he mentioned her
long fingernails,as he put it,
also the lump on her behind.
I've been chatting to locals on my rounds, and im told a lot of dogs have been going miising in the area, then people are getting these calls.
i think shes been held somewhere.almost cant bear to think about it,but i need to keep a cool head here. - 2016-06-24 10:26 sar
- any news on this poor old girl?
- 2016-06-21 18:39 glenda
- yes,ive done the rounds.
just adding her to the petslocated website,as im told lots of professionals use that site.
my only concern is that petrac(microchip provider) mixed her and her brother up,so i have put them straight, but concerned that a future mix up would jeopardise things.
i'm going to do another big ring round to flag that up. - 2016-06-21 18:34 glenda
- I'm copying this info from another poster,as it sounds like great advice, just in case anyone spots Billy out and about.
advice given:
slowly move forward and only call (Billy) if anybody in the area sees (Billy) please do not chase... follow from a distance and call 07405 010 016 THANK YOU EVERYONE

- Thank you for reporting that Glenda. Please could you also notify the police about it on 101.
Poster blitzing is a great idea as poster power works. An alert over your local radio might help too. Mention her medical problems and age. Social networking is great but not everyone is on Facebook.
I take it for granted that you have also notified all vets in the area in case someone takes her in to be scanned?
Really hope that Billy is home soon. - 2016-06-21 18:18 glenda
- just emailed doglost to report the scammer.
- 2016-06-21 17:32 glenda
- could anyone help with poster printing?anyone got a line on some cheap copying?Im up for blitzing the place!
- 2016-06-21 17:29 glenda
- So relieved.Couldn't bear the idea shes cooped up somewhere, getting all distressed, with her dicky heart.
I'm hoping some kindly person is nursing her.Got to think positive. She is bound to have a few friends out there.
The best news I've had so far is from a lady working at the celia hammond neutering centre. She says lots of people don't like to hand over strays to rescue centres, and they'll wait until the posters pop up,so more poster power i say.
in all honesty,i like the idea of her being with a dog lover, who will keep here somewhere quiet,as that will help to stabilise her blood pressure.
if she is being hand fed tasty chicken pieces, then i reckon she would calm down.
she does love her food.
great,so ill ignore for now this scammer, and get on with postering! - 2016-06-21 17:06 Skywalker99
- Definiteky a scam, see here http://news.doglost.co.uk/news/ and report to police and doglost
- 2016-06-21 17:02 glenda
- he didnt know my location, for some reason, even though it is stated on the poster.
- 2016-06-21 16:57 glenda
- the lump answer could be good guesswork.
- 2016-06-21 16:56 glenda
- yes,i had a call from a man on a withheld number, says he has her, wanted me to pay 250 thru western union.havnt heard from him for a bit.lost my fone for 15mins.is this a scam?I asked him to name a distinguishing feature around her tail, and he said 'a lump 'which is coorrect.any advice?

- Thank you so much for your support,it means ALOT!
Billy is quite a dog;ancient, ill, but still going strong. She has given me the slip so many times, but has always come back. She is smart, and clued up about roads. Her granny once made a 30 mile trip home as she wasn't enjoying herself at the festival! That is the doggy stock Billy comes from.
She is in with a good chance,so fingers crossed.
I'm hoping shes in the system somewhere, and will pop up.
I'm no quitter. Her brother went missing once, and I spent five weeks looking for him,and found him in an obscure kennel 30 miles away, where he had, for some reason, been taken, without a word to any dog warden.
I feel she is still ok,so COME ON BILLY!
