For those who are interested in "lessons learned", the owner's neighbour spotted a post on the local facebay page, saying a dog had been seen on 21 June, by a small lake. This location was uncertain (2-3 lakes in the area), but a caller who'd seen a Doglost poster on FB then gave more precise location info. In the owner's own words: "Fortunately this lake is a lot smaller and after walking around it a couple of times, I spotted movement and saw Charlie. She didn't respond to me and instead made a dash for some undergrowth where she had found herself an nice little lair. It was then when I contacted June for possible back-up help. I suppose the fact that I stayed in her sight but without making a move whilst waiting for assistance helped calm her for when I finally approached her very very slowly and talking softly. I could see that her head was down feeling very sorry for herself and she allowed me to gently fix her lead back on and she seemed happy to walk with me back to the car."

I'm not sure if this link will work, but a map of sightings is here: https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=129MTj4yTO4uwjh3nqG_3nsg4Fag Last edited: 2016-06-22 14:30:06 by Svend

Latest word is that she was seen on Saturday in Heath Rd, when someone tried to catch her. (I'm not sure where this is - Hordle? or Walkford?)Last edited: 2016-06-21 18:51:41 by Svend
