Owner still not home yet but will email reunited photo to me-. She stayed calm followed advice and it was this that got this result.

i am texting owner as calls may distract or spook him --she has chicken-- she sat down but he back off into bushes along edge of road. advise to thrown chicken in a sort of trail very small amounts leading back away from road.

Speaking to owner about hoax calls from a previous day when suddenly she said - I can see him - I said go go go. No idea where this is at all but will ask she text me back so can update area.

No sightings yesterday, and the trap was untouched over night, I really don't know what to do now 😢

Think positive Herbert, at least you have sightings which is good news. Hope he stays away from that road though!

Ok so...... The kennels are in ascot which is a 40min drive so not local, he is very afraid of everything and everyone, he has been sighted in a garden by a lady in lyford road who is feeding him but he runs before anyone can get close, he was spotted in tavener close/silvester close this morning at 04:30 and again at lunch time, but was also spotted on the a339 verge this morning!!! I'm hoping he will go back to lyford road to feed later, we have set a trap from the Rspca so hopefully he will go back for food tonight

Petlog have details as this was an unregistered chip- but owner has reported it to them and they have her contact details if picked up and scanned. I think Nicko came to new owner from a rescue.

Sorry to read that this little guy has gone missing. Herbert, are the rescue aware of this? As you have only had Nicko for such a short time he's probably more likely to be caught by the person who has looked after him up until now - his fosterer or the person who walked him regularly.
Did he go missing on a walk or from your home?
Get loads of posters out, contact all rescues in the area(not just the one you had him from) all vets, and the dog warden daily. Put an alert over local radio. Alert the chip company that he is missing.
I hope you have a sighting soon.
