pinkwolf have you had any media coverage yet? Keep up with the postering and checking of rescues etc. If possible maybe helpful if you teamed up with the owners of Jerry (Lurcher) missing from Orford in Warrington WA2 and help poster etc for each other, this will also enable you both to cover a wider area. Just spoke to a friend who lives in St Helens, she said she saw a dog, similar description running along Reginald Road,Sutton on Monday 16th about 1.45. She also said there is a Gypsy camp along that road. Where is the butty van and what industrial estate is it? She works around the area and will keep a look out.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Are there a lot of butty vans in the area? May be worth giving them posters if she's going to them for food? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

well the stake out didnt go to well.. me and my dad both waited 3 hours, and she didn't show.... the butty van came and left and still no sign???? i sented the area again and left pieces of her blanket in diffrent places around the site. we have put more posters up around there. we will go again tomorow and see what happends... the weather wasn't exactly kind ether about an hour before. it was pelting it down. (again) so thats 3days she hasnt been seen??? were woundering if she has moved on again.. ive checked the map in the triangle, and the next place that it looks she would go is newton-le-willows???? will put up some posters up round there. if she goes the other way, then thats warrington and across the motorway???? i really feel down today, thought that we may have had a glimps of her!!! but no!!! please come home jess, please. there are lots of goodies and endless amounts of hugs and kisses to spoil you with... please stay safe. i aint givin up on you yet.xxxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Would it be worth going "undercover" at the burger van she keeps visiting? If they keep feeding her maybe she'll come back again at which point you could be poised and waiting with collar and lead? It may work! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Well she might have impediments but her sense of smell seemes to be well focused. This could well be to your advantage on getting her. Good luck. Stay safe sweetie. xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

REPOSTED TO FIX PAGE: pinkwolf @ 18:13 - 17/7/2007 we've had another sighting today on the ind-est where she had been seen before. i spoke to a man who reconized jess straight away and said that it was defo her. he also said that she is there most days about 12.45pm for the local butty van that comes round (they feed her). he said that she hadnt been today as the weather has been really bad, so tomoro i am going to do a stake out and try to feed her (if we see her) and see wot happends. plz keep your fingers crossed xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi pinkwolf great that you have now registered and posted on the site, it will really help us to help you in the search for Jess. The other sighting in the same area is really promising. Great that the scenting seems to be working and hopefully it will not be too long before you have her home with you. Have emailed the smallers posters to you. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi there There are experts on this site who can help you in terms of reganing Jess's trust. Try to take something that smells of home with you and leave it in the area - socks etc etc. Put food down in the same place and at the same time every night and she will associate that area with food and stay within it. If you see her, do not call her or shout her name, avoid eye contact, keep as low as you can, even lying on the floor, and seeing if she comes to you. Spend as much time as you can in the area where she has been sighted and get leaflets through every door so peopel can call you as soon as they see her. As I said, I am not an expert, merely touching on some of the scenting issues. Call Jayne at HQ via 01302 743361 and she will talk you through scenting. Good luck and keep up the good work.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owners daughter, they have been out searching. Today Jess has been sighted on a local council estate on Francess Street, Sutton, St Helens WA9 at approx 2.00 p.m. today. She was in a garden and the house owner shooed her away, the children have been helping the owners look for Jess. If she returns to the house where she was sighted they will leave food for her and can shut their gate if she goes in the garden. The owners have been leaving a scent trail back to their own house. There are a few industrial estates and open fields in the area. Discussed various ways to get a photo to us. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hope Jess is found soon, she is too old to be out in this weather. The owner should contact the Warrington Guardian. They featured Cassie the Staffie and this led to her return.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner can also be contacted on 01925-223516. Jess was being walked on a field near Gorsey Lane, Burtonwood. She is described as a GSD X owners will ask daughter to send a picture a.s.a.p. and hopefully register. Jess is walked from the house with their other dogs, so have discussed scenting and will send them instructions done by Sherlock. They have been out searching the area and visited local farms, rescue centres and DW's have been informed. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as admin have received a picture posters can be emailed to helpers and they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postman (go to sorting office), milkmen, refuge collectors, taxi drivers, schools, youth clubs, pubs, takeaway shops, dog training clubs and deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Jess. xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
