Number 3049 on found pages - Found in Lees, Oldham. Entire male with long tail,white with tan markings on face-awaiting photo. Red patterned collar.

Over 140 posters have been e mailed out to helpers in surrounding areas and details have been put forward for countrymans weekly magazine.

Owners got back from holiday on Tuesday they have been to Manchester Dogs Home. Family have been checking for them while away. Saturday went to Oldham RSPCA asked to check the lost dogs file and a volunteer had not logged details when they originally reported him. Also visited Cheshire Dogs Home, suggested they also try Leigh Cats & Dogs Home. They have had phonecalls of found dogs in response to posters. Owners will register on the site and try and find a similar photo of Zeus. Jan xxx

I live in Oldham, do we know where abouts in Oldham he went missing from. Ive seen the mention of a farmhouse so im guessing its Bardsley. Im always about there as i have horses and ride out 5 times a day round there. Please could anyone giv me more info. xxx

Do we know when the owners are back? Presumably they have passed contact details of friend's on should Zeus be found if they can't be contacted?

Problem now is his owners are now out of the country, they did look last night but it was getting far too late. Did mention to them about the ones on site, asked for a description to be emailed as in my last post, too late to ask any more questions. EMAIL FROM OWNER. I looked at a website but couldn't find a picture which looked like Zeus. But I will endeavour to give you as good as a description as possible. He is approx 9 month old, short legged Jack Russell with docked tail. His head is all brown including his ears, black flecks on his face and he has a white line between his eyes and a tiny scar under his left eye. His body is all white with a black spot just in or on his rear left hip. His paws and legs are white. He his normally a very happy dog however when he is away from our home he tends to be nervous and will lie down and cowers. I hope this is enough information to go on.

Spoken to owner Zeus has gone missing from the farmhouse. They live on the border of Ashton U Lyne and Oldham they have contacted both DWs, Manchester Dogs Home, RSPCA, Pet Medics, My Petstop, Millstream, Advert in Advertiser (Thameside & Oldham). Going on hols early hours in the morning but relatives are going to lookout for Zeus. Jan xxx

As soon as admin have received a picture posters can be emailed to helpers and they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postman (go to sorting office), milkmen, refuge collectors, taxi drivers, schools, youth clubs, pubs, takeaway shops, dog training clubs and deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Zeus. xxx
