  • Other Info This poor little dog was found wandering on Cole Avenue Gloucester late on Friday 8th July. The finder very kindly took him to a vet. He is in an appalling state, filthy, matted and covered in sores. The matts are so tight around his front paws, that they have grown to twice their normal size and the claws have grown into the pads. It's unlikely he could have walked very far to get to where he was found, so he either lives locally or was dumped. He is now being cared for and getting the treatment he ne

No animal should suffer this. There are alternative solutions if someone can't manage to care for a dog properly. But of course he may have been stolen and dumped.
A big thank you to the caring person who found him and started this ball rolling because he has hope for a much better future now.
Zen, thanks for your caring too. Do you know if the finder (or the vet) has looked on the Doglost database for any possible lost matches? Without being able to see his face it is very difficult to make comparisons.

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
