- I have seen the photo and it is too far away to make out any markings but it looks like a dog to me.

- Frankie I dont do FB....too busy with doglost...would you be able to send the photo att Jayne to admin@doglost.co.uk please?

- there's a post on Facebook of what looks like the body of a small dog under the Three Daws pub pier in Gravesend. The guy that took the photo thought it was a giant rat and just took the photo and didn't look more closely. Pretty typical of today's society. All about just getting the photo.Last edited: 2016-08-09 22:44:55 by AlisonH

- ClaireC and GillyP.....just to let you know...I have never seen any of Twinkle,s posts....only knew that someone called Twinkle had made a comment by reading Baydogs posts......Please see my comment on 28.7.16 at 15.12. confirming this........
If I cannot see Twinkle,s posts.........how is Baydogs managing to see them??????Last edited: 2016-07-29 08:57:54 by Doglover - 2016-07-29 07:32 Unknown
- I cannot imagine what Jordan must be thinking reading this. Whatever the circumstances on how this tragedy happened it has and now it's up to the authorities and those on the water to bring her home.Last edited: 2016-07-29 07:36:31

- Baydogs and Doglover may I respectfully suggest that you stop responding to Twinkle's posts and ignore and let Admin deal with them! The more you both comment so will he/she respond and possibly cause more distress for owner!
- 2016-07-29 00:33 Baydogs
- Thanks for making me aware of that doglover but my response to Twinkle** remains firmly the same.
- 2016-07-29 00:11 Doglover
- Baydogs .... Just to clarify one thing... Princess was wearing her harness , but she was walking OFF LEAD .....so no lead attached. Yes Princess slipped on the algae on Pageant Steps......as her owner said in one comment....thank god it was not a child.... Baydogs... So wished that I could see what this Twinkle is writing.........
- 2016-07-28 22:51 Baydogs
- That thought hadn't actually crossed my mind Twinkle**
Sometimes accidents happen - in this case the dog slipped on algae wearing harness and lead. Sh*t sometimes happens and we feel bad enough without having fingers wagged in front of us.
What's the point of this? Except it probably makes you feel superior in some way. Last edited: 2016-07-28 22:53:05 by Baydogs - 2016-07-28 22:08 Twinkle**

- Cassiec, thank you and your friends so much for all the searching you did. The RNLI information is useful, albeit really quite alarming as 5 miles either way is a great distance. However, it really is good to know that so many are being vigilant.
- 2016-07-28 15:12 Doglover
- As Cassiec says below, she has been doing a brilliant job with her boat friends looking out for Princess. Also Cassie has had reply from the RNLI who feel that the body of the dog, be it Princess or not, will be moving 5 miles in both directions of where it was seen at ERITH Pier, I should imagine this is according to the tide and the flow of the river. The necessary authorities will be looking out ......AND AS FOR TWINKLE....,..I DO NOT KNOW, OR WANT TO KNOW WHAT COMMENTS YOU MADE, BUT IF THEY ARE NOT PRODUCTIVE IN ANY WAY, THEN PKEASE STAY AWAY.....,,,,,,,,THIS IS HEARTBREAKING ENOUGH AS IT IS..!!!!!!!!

- 2016-07-27 08:25 Baydogs
- ClaireC, the poster was changed last night to much more appropriate wording for anyone looking for Princess or the body that was seen and needs to be recovered for identification and closure. Thank you to whoever changed it.Last edited: 2016-07-27 08:30:50 by Baydogs
- 2016-07-27 06:49 ClaireC
- Baydogs posters cannot be changed on your asking! There is nothing concrete to say that this dog is Princess! However, it does need to be found in order to give an owner closure. But as you have stated that this now does not need to be altered!

"My cousin has alerted all her boating friends and some of them are on the Thames close to the area so first thing at daylight they are all going to search for this poor furbaby. Please god they find her. Such a tragedy. Hope this helps xx"
That's brilliant :) Email probably not needed now anyway.
- 2016-07-26 23:03 Baydogs
- The poster needed updating because the person I spoke to the yacht club said that they'd send out a poster to all members. Whilst I was waiting I read somewhere else that the yacht club has already been informed but if each individual member has clear details that would probably be useful for them to carry. Ditto RSPB. All extra eyes on the lookout ClaireC :)
- 2016-07-26 22:44 ClaireC
- Baydog why not email the poster but also add on the email that it is believed that Princess is now deceased due to drowning and that it is thought that Princess' body has been seen under the pier at Erith and could they possibly keep an eye out for her and give contact details of her owner. Please remember that the River Police have also been informed.
- 2016-07-26 17:18 Baydogs
- @BB451. Could you update the poster to reflect the current situation please before I email details to various places? Thanks.
- 2016-07-26 17:15 Baydogs
- Could be useful for reference-

- FAO JAYNE0 Before I email the poster to Erith Yacht Club and others, could the text be updated to reflect the recent sighting please?
- 2016-07-26 15:44 Baydogs
- Seems a good idea. Have just spoken to Erith Yacht Club re this and will be emailing details to the honorary secretary in a moment.
Then I'm going to approach the RSPB. All those people with binoculars might spot Princess in the water. - 2016-07-26 12:27 Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
- Could somebody contact Erith Yacht club, which is further towards the sea (downstream? or upstream) from the pier to see if they could keep a look out for this little body which might be floating round there. I'm Essex but have seen the yachts out in the Thames from RSPB Rainham marshes site. I googled map for Erith Pier and found the yacht club Tel 01322 332943 WEB address training.erithyachtclub.org.uk. Sorry not good on this machine. Last edited: 2016-07-26 12:29:21 by Me N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer

- H20.... If you google ERITH Pier you will see it is along the River Thames and comes under Bexley which is Kent/Greater London. Princess fell into the River at Rotherhithe which is further up and obviously the tide has taken Princess down the river.
- 2016-07-25 19:37 H20
- Can someone please tell me where Erith Pier is please. Thanks

- No one has got back to me...will try again...Just spoke to owner and discussed the info we were given and with his permission can now update....
Yesterday evening a lady rang who was on Erith pier with her daughter playing pokeman....she looked down and saw the body of a tan staffordshire bull terrier with white paws wearing a harness underneath the pier...the only thing differing is that she described the harness as brown rather than pink...but a week in the water may have caused this...of course we will keep the page open until we have further confirmation...Owner realises its best to have closure ...so any local help is appreciated...thank you all. - 2016-07-24 17:35 Baydogs
