- Definitely get your neighbours to check gardens and outbuildings then Anthony. And have any gone away on holiday since Daisy went missing? Have you postered the area etc as suggested in my last comment?
No shed in your garden that she may have crawled underneath and become stuck?
No holes, disused wells or cesspits on your land? - 2016-07-14 13:21 Anthony
- She went missing from the garden around 8pm. The gates were shut, and we've searched everywhere inside the perimeter. We thought she may have taken herself away somewhere quiet, but it's looking more likely that she's managed to escape through a gap somewhere.

- Anthony, if you haven't already done so, put up a load of posters in the area, knock doors in that neighbourhood and give flyers with details on, ring your local radio and ask them to put out an alert, notify your chip company, notify vets and rescues in the area, and ring the dog warden daily.
Also ask people to look in their gardens, sheds and garages where she may have wandered in and decided to have a snooze.
Would I be correct in assuming you were out for a walk with her? If so, do you drive there or do you live nearby? If you drive there regularly, she may keep going back to where you usually park your car. If you walk from home, she may try to use the same route to get back home- albeit in a ditsy elderly way, stopping off in people's gardens etc.
A couple of elderly dogs recently have been found in neighbour's properties, having been locked in there whilst they went away for the weekend. Is that likely? - 2016-07-14 12:41 Anthony
- Thank you Jules.
Daisy went missing Sunday evening, in the area immediately to the north of Holcombe (on Oak Hill Cross Rd). She's quite frail and elderly, coupled with being very deaf and ditsy. I can't imagine she's gone far, unless she's been picked up by someone.
Thank you for your help. - 2016-07-14 09:08 Jules
- HI Anthony, I have friends in the Dawlish area, send me a few more details re the area Daisy was last seen and anything else that might help and I will get it on Facebook etc for them to keep an eye out.
