- Other Info Goose is a neutered house cat whose microchipped, his naame appears on his chip as Lukey but we changed his name and couldnt get to change info on chip site hes very starnger aware and wont go near you unless he feels like it ,Goose is three next month and we have had him since he was an 8 wk old kitten

- Yes Dougal a squeaky toy can help. He is neutered so wont be took far away from his home. Check shneds, garages etc in case locked in. Put some tuna/food in his dish, and gently call his name; night/early morning is ideal. Put scented item of his into a clean container, such as his blanket/bedding or a toy, along with something with your scent on too. And rattle some treats too. He is most probably hiding behind a hedge/bush. Wipe his scent on your garden fences, and gates too. It is possible that someone is feeding him, perhaps thinking he is a stray (Common problem) Take a walk around the area carrying something with his scent on, and as Dougal has said try a squeaky toy. Also rattle some treats too. Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors too.
Cats rely very much on their scent, and their owners too Paws xd

- House cats often behave differently from outdoor cats when they escape the house. They can often be found lying low not far from home, but will be easily disorientated and more likely to hide than an outdoor cat.
This links explains some of the ways they behave differently and has some ideas of how to go about searching for Goose. He may respond to a familiar sound better than you calling out to him - if he has a favourite squeaky toy, it might tempt him out of hiding.
