Thank you everyone for your efforts. Sadly we discovered Scully in the garden pond - she had somehow fallen through the protective covering, and she was very old and would not have been able to get herself out. This is obviously devistating but it is good to know she won't have suffered long, or in the heat, and that she was at home where she belonged and not out alone and afraid. Thanks again for all your efforts x

As silly as it might sound, have you checked your house thoroughly. A dog last week was found shut in a cupboard! She may have hidden under a bed to keep cool maybe. Also check and double check your garden and those of your neighbours. She may be stuck in or behind a shed, under piles of leaves.Fingers crossed you find her soon x
