- Thankyou Wibble , owners have a friend who will help them tomorrow . In the meantime , Im sending owners a lovely lurcher poem , and so hope they have closure
From Lurchers and long dogs by E.G. Walsh
On your grave beneath the chestnut bough
Today no fragrance falls nor summer air
Only a Masters love who laid you there
Perchance may warm the air 'neath which you drowse
in dreams from which no meal times will rouse
Unwakeable, though close the rat may dare,
Deaf, though the rabbit thump in playful scare,
Silent, though twenty foxes screech their vows
And yet mayhap, some night when shadows pass,
And from the fir the brown owl hoots on high
That should one whistle 'neath a favouring star
Your shade shall canter over the grass
Questing for him you loved in days gone by
Ere death the dog thief , carried you afar

- Are you able to tell us exactly where she was lost? Been to river side along from Cats Hill towards Symonds Yat. Then to Forestry car park at the Yat rock and to Bracelands camp site, no sign of her, didn't see any posters so maybe we were in the wrong place. Let me know if there's anything we can do to help
- 2016-07-25 16:21 Mollychops

- We have already notified the Forestry Commision, but not the rangers office. After a quick google search, i can't seem to find their webpage/telephone number. Do you know where we could find the rangers number so we can give them a call?
- 2016-07-25 14:08 Owl
- I assume you have notified the Forest of Dean rangers' office? Forestry Commission?

- She should be able to, but it will be more difficult for her than if she didn't have it on. It is quite a large for for her face, meaning she had room to open her mouth/pant etc. in itLast edited: 2016-07-25 08:50:19 by LaurenJadex

- There have been no sightings so far of Ches. owners have been back searching many times the area where she vanished, probably after chasing a deer. Ive suggested going back to the spot at dawn and dusk , sitting and watching .hopefully tonight they will be having a barbeque which may lure her out if she is around in that area still. Owners will contact wales,Hereford and Glos dogwardens today and the forestry commission for the area. Luckily Ches is wearing a plastic mesh box muzzle and will be able to drink , although they can come off easily if in bushes etc. Ive asked owner to contact the river Gillies, who have been a huge help in the past on the Wye.Also angling,Canoeing rambling clubs etc who use the area.Lots of Touristy places need advising too, campsites, shops, boat trips. Its very rural, but a lot of people about always. Owners will be leaving some of Ches's bedding at the site and ive emailed advice sheets.Last edited: 2016-07-25 09:04:25 by Mollychops

- Will she be able to drink with the type of muzzle she is wearing ?
- 2016-07-24 23:05 Jot cotswolds
- Suggest you add "muzzled" alongside her name to get urgent attention...she will need finding fast. Twitter hadhtags worth using are #rossonwye #goodrich and all the main A and B road numbers there.
- 2016-07-24 19:46 LaurenJadex
- Thank you everyone, after more hours of searching around the place she went missing and asking around, not one person has seen her. It's like she's disappeared off the face of the Earth and it's horrible. We are all absolutely distraught. We will carry in searching tomorrow.
