Bo and Angel....I am only going on what I read on all,the dog sites that I belong to on Facebook in helping people try and find their beloved dogs that have been stolen. I have never had a dog list or stolen, but by reading people's comments, they are always that the police are not interested. We know the limited resources they have, but what is happening lately with the amount of stolen dogs that are stolen for the purpose of either breeding, held to ransom, or just to sell on, I just think the punishment should be justifiable, that is if you can catch those that do it.

Amazing and such great news that all were recovered safely. As an aside, perhaps NOT leaving keys in the ignition , fitting all vans with GPS trackers (as already mentioned) and an increased vigilance will reduce the risk.
The police do take dog theft seriously - with limited resources, reductions in police budgets and increases in major crimes, what's your solution in terms of priorities of resources Doglover?

Brilliant I am so pleased they are all safe. This is getting too regular now more care and attention is needed in the transporting and exercising of dogs. Hopefully, lessons will be learnt xx

What a result ....it is now about time that the Police saw dog theft as a serious crime and the consequences of such a crime should be reflected in the punishment.

Fantastic news! Logged on again to do a last tweet of thr evening & delighted the dogs have all been found and are ok. This type of dog theft seems to be on the increase so the suggestion of installing a (hidden) GPS tracker is an excellent one. Perhaps owners and potential owners need to think seriously about dog ownership if dog walkers have to leave vehicles to go into their empty houses to collect dogs?

The cleaning agency I use have Gps trackers in all their vehicles, perhaps dog walkers should do the same......

Relieved beyond words that all dogs are safe.
Ronmaxtye- I've tried those stations for someone else and, like yourself, couldn't get an airing. It appears that they are fearful of being inundated with such calls.

great news, with regard radio stations on earlier post, shelagh and i tried all london stations but none would agree to do anything, so much for community spirit? i expect if we paid they would have done it

UPDATE FROM OWNERS SITE
The van and doggies have been found, everyone is okay, it's a police matter from now on.

I expect they are very busy sorting stuff out and will let you know asap

Oh no! How can another load of dogs be stolen in a van? Yes one is a Weimaraner & it will be very stressed. Are the Police actively searching for the vehicle? Will tweet and hope all the dogs are found safely and quickly.

The 7 dogs stolen will be put on site as individual dogs once have photos but this covers all and can be shared NOW.
Dogs taken are
1 male black Pug
1 weimarer x male -( looks like a weimarer)
1 cockerpoo male - cream
1 Labrador Male Black
1 SBT red brown - Female
1 SBT Black with brown spots Female
1 cockerpoo 4 months old cream in colour

ALL DOGS ARE CHIPPED. ALL MALES ARE CASTRATED EXCEPT THE PUPPY.
