- I was also thinking about Barney as well (Lost ID 101085) who could easily have made it this far across the fields. I know his owner Bev had those great guys from the Carbis Bay Crew investigate some of the mines with cameras at the time but I don't think they made it as far as this area....but how far do you go?
Doglover re Chase; I believe Mark Thomas commented that there was only one uncapped mine in the area he examined with the drone but this county is absolutely pitted with shafts - some of them not even marked on old maps. I don't think the fire crew will attend/examine mines without reason especially when there are so many. There can also be the problem of contamination in certain mines, such as uranium, and it needs knowledgeable people with special kit to enter safely. In Indie's case, I think her owner located her due to hearing her barking but unfortunately not all dogs make a noise. Indie is a very lucky girl indeed. I hope she is well this morning now she has rehydrated :)
