Thanks for taking him in and making him safe CClark. Have looked on the database for Scotland here and can't find a match. Gradually working my way through the rest of the country in case he was stolen from somewhere else.
Do you have a local radio station that would put out an alert? That might reach someone who doesn't have internet access.
As you have stated that he hasn't been chipped, I gather local vets and warden are aware?
Was the garage where he was found open or was he put in there and then the door closed?

Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
