Hi there,
I thought I should pass this photograph on to you. This morning around 10.30 I found this dog stuck between a public footpath fence and the side of a house. It appeared he'd come from one of the houses gardens but there was a large drop down to the gardens and it seemed unclear how he got there. Myself and another dog walker called the rspca and local dog warden but in that time he'd got spooked and jumped down behind the gardens and on the train track path.
We called the fire brigade to come and help but he'd run off, we couldn't see him. The fire brigade searched for about 20 minutes but gave up.
I've alerted the local vets and park rangers and Islington animal welfare. The Camden council dog warden wasn't massively helpful, they wouldn't come to investigate unless the dog had been contained and they weren't allowed to search along the tracks. I gave their number to the hampstead heath overground office and they're keeping an eye out and checking cc TV.
I took this photo of him before he jumped down to the train tracks.
I also rang the local neighbours and left notes but no such luck so far. The house he was nearest to was number 4, Constantine road NW3 (that meets Roderick road) right by the entrance to Hampstead heath, by the concrete bridge over the overground tracks that leads into the park, right by the children's paddling pool and playground.
Hopefully someone is looking for him or her and will be in contact. (I couldn't see if it was a boy or girl)
Thanks,
Lilli
