Have studied this advert and just cannot tell-I agree that this dog does look older, Lucky is 15 weeks now. I was afraid that as time goes by I won't be able to tell if it is him or not. But after talking to Rottiesnstaffs we discovered Lucky has a hernia- I thought it was just a sticky-out belly button that would change as he got older.

Spotted a puppy labrador today in a womans arms just round the corner, so I followed the woman and then thought how I could get close enough to see if it was Lucky-I made out I wanted to buy one for my kids and she was happy to tell me exactly where she got him and showed me papers for him-by then though I realised the puppy was too young to be Lucky as he is now 14 weeks and that one was about 9/10 weeks.

gumtree listing for male lab 12 weeks no injections and only has toys with him. location stockwell london. There is a picture so take a look to see if it is Lucky. Listing dated either 2nd or 3rd of august.

Nicola, maybe he is out of the area and thats why you have not had any calls or maybe he is in the area and he is being kept hidden. The schools are definitely worth doing with flyers - I took some flyers to a local school and asked the secretary to pass them on to the children at the end of the day. They get seen by lots of people that way x

Finally spoke to someone at the council and now all the 'Street Wardens' in Dagenham are also looking for Lucky with anyone and they walk all over. I'm planning on leafleting the schools nearby when they go back.

I was supposed to get an important call today but as yet I'm still waiting. I have been back over the park and replaced some of my posters. My mother-in-law is handing out leaflets tonight at Asda. As it is most people I talk to already know about Lucky- I've made him quite famous!

I think it is generally thought that most dogs taken in stay pretty near to home - but keep phoning Battersea every couple of days or so just in case he slips through the net. Wish I was nearer to help, do the posters stay up or are any disappearing? x smaller flyers are good as well, for putting through doors and giving to people x have you got kids off school who could put flyers on cars? also have a poster in your own car and friends cars too.

Keep going girl, youre doin really well. Keep postering, try postering further out now, but keep a check on the posters you have already put up and replace any that have come down. Try not to be too despondent as you are doing everything you can. xx

Hi Lucky's mum - don't be down hearted - keep up the postering and the phoning around. Have you tried Battersea - I know its a way away but my father in laws dog from Harold Hill ended up in Battersea. We never thought he would be taken so far! Excuse me- but I have been told I have to be careful what I say on site. I got a call out of the blue to say that the dog warden would be visiting the traveller's site today for another reason and that they would see if they could spot Lucky at the same time- I waited all day with no-one getting back to me until I chased them! only to be told they didn't spot Lucky. I have been as anxious as hell all day long and I really can't see how DOGLOST was made to look silly! You are thoroughly appreciated by me and it was the DOG WARDEN I spoke to not the TLO.

I have had a call back from Dagenham Council to say that the owner has been liaising with the TLO all along. Lucky unfortunately was not at The Chase site. DogLost has just been made to look rather silly.

Traveller Liaison is a department of one the officer, Kathy Penfold is on leave. Her manager is also on leave, so I have been speaking to the acting manager who is from a totally different department and knows nothing about traveller liaison......... I have left him finding out whether this council-run site has a warden I can speak to.

Keelah, nicola has called TLO but hard to get hold of cos of nature of job not in office but was told that this is probably a matter for the police!!! If this is the case, what is the point of having a TLO? Please can you assist and advise? I had the 'chase' gypies all over my dog I really wouldn't go near them without anyone from the police. He could just be after the money so be careful.

Unfortunately this had already crossed my mind- I just got a call telling me that the travellers that stay just down the road near a big open space called 'THE CHASE' have been seen with a puppy Labrador. However I don't trust the man-he suggested we get down there straight away and then in the next breath said my husband would get his head kicked-in if he goes there! HELP!!! WHAT DO WE DO? The man was very insistant but I do feel he could have been one of them, by his accent.

As Lucky is such a young pup, he would probably be kept indoors while he had his first injections. Also might be registered for puppy classes soon at a local vet/dog obedience club.

Great that there are so many helpers in the area where Lucky went missing. At such a young and very cute age, very likley that someone will have either taken him in or sold him on. Postering/placing an add in local free papers really does yield results, as it might reach the person who has Lucky, or knows someone who has just got a Lab pupxxx

I don't want to cause any worry but there is a listing on gumtree about someone wanting a lab pup either cheap or free. Did anyone put this listing up as the people are only in London. Went over Parsloes Park yesterday-didn't see him. But I have given out more posters to dog-walkers and put more posters up at the various entrances. Today I am going back over there and tomorrow I am standing outside my local Asda superstore and handing out leaflets. Wednesday the paper is out-fingers crossed I might get some more information. Have been walking around of a night as well in case he is being walked once it is dark.

Had a call a little while ago from a young girl telling me she's quite sure she's spotted Lucky over Parsloes Park with a black man. She described the man and the puppy to me however she saw them 2 days ago and didn't know what to do, I'm guessing her age to be as young as 10 or 11. I am taking notice she said it was early afternoon so I am going over there in a while. This call has come not long after posters were put up near Parsloes, so I will poster more over that way.

He had a purple collar with a silver buckle on it- I have the matching lead. He got out through the front as my silly husband forgot to shut him in before opening the front door to let his mate out. I have covered a bit wider area today with posters and leaflets, I've also talked to passers by especially dog walkers- they are so much more willing to look out for anyone with him. Unfortunately LUCKY did not have any distinctive markings but at the moment I would know if he was mine or not, however my fear is as time goes on it will then be very hard to tell. All I'm certain of is I will NOT give-up.

Just thinking, a lot of dogs stay in the area where they go missing - especially as yours is so young as well - may have been taken in nearby. Loads of posters on lamposts in the immediate area would help. Have you got young children? They are on holiday aren't they, so depending on their age, could they help spread the word with flyers through doors? x

My immediate neighbours can hear this puppy too but its coming from a bit further up and I have already knocked on those doors. My posters are still in tact and i've handed more out near Martins corner and visited Parsloes Park which isn't too far away [ loads of dog walkers go there]. He is either being kept well hidden or I'm looking in the wrong places.

I feel helpless, I can hear apuppy nearby and its doing my head in as I cannot see over the gardens to rule out if it is Lucky. I cannot see anything in the paper at all [maybe I got it wrong and they're waiting until next week to do a bigger piece?] We just want him back.

Almost missed the deadline for the Barking & Dagenham Post. But the nice man is fitting in a piece on 'Lucky' also told him to look up Doglost. He also said if he is still missing next week then they'll do a bigger piece on him. LBC was a waste of time they didn't see how they could help!!!

Zaksmum, dont worry about the shopkeepers that charge you to put posters up, just stick one up outside their shop!!! It costs enough for the printing, a4 plastic sleeves and sellotape without having to then pay to put the posters up!!

Begining to wonder if maybe someone in a passing car picked him up and maybe they live out of the area. Might be a good idea in a few days to start emailing luckys poster to helpers in surrounding areas and asking them to put them up. i am disgusted at shops charging me to put a poster in for a lost dog ! only a couple would do free of charge. But if it brings home lucky then I am happy to do so ! The Time fm message worked as people had heard it ! and with my pushchair full of posters I am going to the park. Family are also getting a poster each.

Ive given out flyers up Heathway, put flyers in doors along Hunters Hall Road, Stanfield Road and around Pondfield Park and Alibon Road. All in all I've managed to do over 450 today!! Fingers crossed everyone x

I am limited on paper at the moment and I am no not at work anymore so can't pinch any so any posters going spare would be great. I live on a busy road so have put one on my sold sign to help.

Can anyone help with postering today in the heathway, wood lane and surrounding areas of dagenham? Nicola would very much appreciate any help she can get. Barking and Dagenham post are phoning her on monday apparently so hopefully there should be a piece about lucky in the newspaper this week.

I have 4 labs (plus 3 others) and cant imagine anything worse than them not being at home here with me. Im in Derbyshire but will certainly put up some posters around our local vets just in case he's well away from home. Praying he's home with you very soon. xxx

Rottiesnstaffs, re- owners registration. Owner should have recieved an email from admin asking them to verify their email account. If they do not verify their email account they will not appear on the 'registrations for activations' list. If owner has not recieved an email, it may have gone into their spam box. Please get them to check.

glynafon, have checked the number below for the found lab and it was an older dog and has been reunited with owner. Thanks anyway as all leads will be checked. Owner is having trouble registering and even i have tried for her and it says account inactive so dont know what to tell her to do, any suggestions Jayne? We did 100 posters tonite, Oxlow lane, part of sterry road, some of the Heathway, Hunters Square, Croppath road, all bus stops, pedestrian crossings and people aswell. Everyone we stopped we asked if they had a car and asked them to display a poster in their car window. Katie me ol mate u are a star!!! Thanks for all the emailing xxxxx

Owner has contacted Battersea (I've sent poster too), Dagenham and Romford Police, Civic (Barking & Dagenham have no Dog Warden) and some local vets. Posters in Hunters Square, Sterry Rd and Hunters Hall Rd and more to go up tonight. I've emailed DW's from East London to Clacton, Kennels - Bareham, Chalet, Chingford, Gemini, Ladybird, London&Essex, Normandale, Novem, Wallace, Wanderers. Rescues - Blue X, Dogs Trust, Mayhew, Mistley, NAWT, Wood Green. Vets - Animal Ark, Ardmore, Companion Care Beckton, Chelmsford, Harlow, Romford, Elm House, EVHG, Goddards (all), House & Jackson, Medivet Southend, Palmerstons, Tiptrees & Wylies. Will start faxing others now. Covered larger area as Lucky lives near to A13 so if picked up by vehicle could be further afield. Have emailed Editor of Barking & Dagenham Post (deadline Tuesday) but would suggest Nicola calls him on 020 8517 4925. Also Nicola contact Angela Lodge at Essex Radio on 01245 616066 (she has a soft spot for Labs). Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Lucky well. Stay safe little one, until you are found. Good luck Lucky x
