Thanks for the update Max and thanks to the holidaymakers who took action. If he'd spent the whole night out there I suspect he'd be a great deal worse than he is now.
Wishing Herbie a speedy recovery. So pleased he's home :)

Herbie wandered off further than he has ever done & apparently up to a house nearby which is a holiday let. They had seen him, but having just arrived didn't think any more of it, but when he was still there later, all wet, they got hold of him & rang number on his tag.
he is a wee poorly mite, but hopefully will be comfortable now at home.

Being a terrier, and despite his problems, it is possible that he'll have returned home smelling of badger poo, wearing an expression that said"What's all the fuss about?" and asked for his grub :))

Baydogs - will let Max follow up in morning as she spoke to owner earlier this evening.
Hopefully as he has been found within 12 hours or so, it is a good outcome.

Oh brilliant GeoffA! Is he okay?

Baydogs - I guess we added our comments more or less simultaneously - it appears that Herbie is home safe (see my comment below) :)

Have sent email to Bryn's owner (Bryn the Blind Rescue Dog) to ask if they'll kindly add to their Facebook page.

Update from Sophie Duncan on DogLost Cornwall page: "He is home now :)"
Will leave Max to make contact in the morning and update status then.

PAW, do you have any contacts in this area that you could tag please?

Was it a long acting antibiotic injection that he was given this morning or did he begin a course of tablets at that time? Was his temperature quite high?
If he is on a course of ABs, and he had a high fever, he will need to continue to take the tablets at regular intervals for the fever to reduce and to alleviate his disorientation. He may also be dehydrated. He needs to be found asap.Sorry to sound alarmist but I'm rather concerned about this little guy.
Can everyone in Cornwall share like crazy please?

Alerts over both radio stations would also be helpful if not already done. Due to the rural location, his age and condition perhaps contacting Mark Thomas might a good idea for a drone survey of the area?
This caravan park isn't far away and is dog friendly which may attract him-

Have they been informed?

Hopefully Herbie is just humpy after vet visit and will return home safe soon. Will keep a look out & advise owners to poster 5 mile radius to get locals & tourists to watch out for him.xx

Herbie was given anti-biotics this morning at vets as he had a temperature & was disorientated. He seems to have wandered off. Owners have been out searching all day, have searched their land & outbuildings ( Have suggested do it again, in case he has wandered back somewhere & maybe collapsed nearby)
Will email advice info
Dog warden informed, owner informing local vets.
Has been shared to DogLost Cornwall fb page & other local groups
