Amazing news ! I wonder where she's been all this time, and turning up today of all days, after the storm we've had.

Lesley
visited by Karen Boyce, she feels that it is highly likely given the very quick timescale of events leading to Ripples disappearance and boat/bicycle/walkers traffic that she has been picked up by someone. owner is going to push mnore posters out to canal boat hire companies and along tow path. thank you to everyone helping with the search for RippleLast edited: 2016-08-31 23:34:29 by Karen - Solstices Missing Dogs and Wiltshire volunteer

PLEASE LET THIS BE RIPPLE :)
Lesley Maclean "I'm sorry to ask ( stuck at work waiting for customer). Is there anyone in Wootton rivers got 10 minutes to spare to check out a possible sighting of Ripple please? Pm me and I'll give you location."

Lesley Maclean "The road going out of WR towards Easton royal/ram alley there is a dilapidated barn opp bungalow, Chris said he heard snoring late last night ( Ripple snores awful) his phone had died and no torch."
DogLostReynard
Lesley Maclean We have just come out of the wheat field behind us, the drone went up, sadly nothing seen.

Lesley Maclean "We think it was probable a bird/ young he heard. We have land owners permission and all that was searched extensively last night by the most fantastic crowd of people who gave up their evening to help. I'm in contact with Karen Boyce from Durrington who does dog searches"Last edited: 2016-08-12 18:46:52 by Reynard

Interesting John wonder if the sound came from the undergrowth or a boat possible moored up ? If he heard it on the towpath then maybe best would be to section the area and do a search bit by bit radiating outwards?
A spaniel would seem the most apt for that sort of terrain. And heat/night goggles may help? Can you speak to the land owner and ask permission?

Www.k9tracker.co.uk, you need to fill in the contact form on her website, I would also ask Doglost if they can contact Jenny on your behalf.

A neighbours son out for a run on the towpath thought he heard wimpering but we found no sign. The amount of undergrowth and field crops is a problem, even though Ripple may not have gone far. Could someone from DogLost recommend Lesley a tracker dog ?

Lesley :"she walks the little lane behind the moorings with us, her route is to the bridge and go either way down the tow path. There was a lot of boat/ walkers traffic yesterday, it's just that it happened so quickly? We have searched immediate area with a fine tooth comb and now even further afield." "She was actually sitting on the step in the garden of the mooring. This is why it's all very strange and happened so quickly"Last edited: 2016-08-08 18:26:32 by Reynard

Lesley Maclean 'thank you so much we have already double checked all that area and fields behind Cadley lock also up to Burbage wharf we've done all the ditches etc and canal'
DogLostReynard
Ive just got back from walking the Tow path from Wootton Rivers, & have put posters up( could do with more really ) & spoke to the Lock Keeper at WR who has a poster now. Spoke with Boaters and dog Walkers: I note parallel to the Tow-Path is a ditch and then farm land also looked in there but could do with a more extensive search maybe . There is a railway Line also so perhaps they should also be notified . I also note some semi-permanant Narrow Boats moored there so may be worth talking to owners as no one home when I was there but I left a poster.
