Oh goodness. Thanks for letting us know.
Sounds like Tilly was a lucky girl. I'm so glad that she was found and I'm sure she will forgive you for not being able to get the sausages!
.. and yes, we know that scared dogs often do not let others know where they are. It's really their owners that the want to see!
Glad Tilly is ok and has had a good breakfast

Sorry everyone that I didn't get the good knews out on here earlier. I am at work today and have been trying to update all the different posts as quickly as I could in between clients. Thank you so much to everyone who shared, searched and gave the owner hope.

Tilly was found by the owner and her friends at approx. 7am this morning. They were searching the area in the woods where she was last sighted running uphill. The owner was whistling her and her friend thought she heard a faint bark. After whistling again there was frantic barking which they followed to find Tilly with her lead wrapped around a tree. She was frantic with joy and seeing her owner and appears to be none the worse for her ordeal. Just shows though that she was too scared to let her whereabouts be known to anyone apart from her owner as I had walked the same path and area at 5.30 this morning.

Owner and dog and now having a well earned cuddle and sleep.

On another note I feel quite guilty in the fact she could probably smell those lovely sausages I was cooking not too far away from her last night and she couldn't get to even if she wanted. I apologise to howevers dog managed to eat the breakfast I left out for Tilly early this morning but it was a really lovely chicken and veg meal.

I have just seen this post on The Bourne Veterinary Clinic page saying
"HURRAY. TILLY HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE AND WELL. THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SHARED, SEARCHED AND PASSED THEIR WISHES TO THE OWNER" H
Hopefully she will recover well after her ordeal.
It would be lovely to know how and where she was found and whether it was the bbq or bedding that did the trick!
Please let us know??

Tilly has been found according to Bourne Vet page on FB - huge relief

UPDATE: on The Bourne Veterinary Clinic page says they are "gonna try the BBQ at dusk and will print off the information in the morning and leave it near all entrances" I have advised to lay a scent trail back to where lost if poss and to leave bedding with familiar scent on it as well.
Tilly's lead was still on when she was seen running from the main car park in Tilford Road into the Bourne Woods.

As we do not have a Co-ordinator in Surrey I have sent out our Doglost Advice email which may help with the search. Also added the latest sighting to the post on Doglost Surrey. I have also shared to friends in the area.
Hope that helps and that Tilly is found soon.Last edited: 2016-08-09 20:25:38 by Clarkey - Area Co-ordinator, East Sussex
