- if only all owners chipped their dogs - even now when it is compulsory so many dogs dont have a chip. its value is unbelievable. still can get chipped free. i paid quite a lot years ago i think £25 but it was and is worth every penny

- Stolen in 2012 but have emailed to ask if this dog is still missing. This found dog is possibly quite young (1 to 2 years)so the missing one would now be 5 to 6 years now- however it is worth a try.

- yes that was my thoughts as well, the dog looks very relaxed in the photos, does not look abused or anxious considering he may have been tied to a tree alone all night? all very strange

I spoke to the police to see if they had any stolen dog reports and they said they had a tan husky reported missing this morning. But somehow ends up tied up with its lead and collar to a tree. So I'm waiting to see f the apparent owner calls up now

The vets said she was 1-2 years. Hard to tell really
UPDATE... She has a new home and somebody who can actually care for her the way she deserves! Thank you again to all the effort to find someone!
rehomed within a day of finding her!!
I am a little concerned that if the details are genuine that the correct procedures have not been taken. Messages on the finders facebbok states found early morning tied to a tree. He recons taken to a vets - so did they scan for a chip? He recons phoned police?Did he phone his dog warden? No idea. By day 2 he had rehomed the dog stating far better than kennels and going to Battersea.
Whilst he may has acted in good faith there are set procedures in place for a reason. This dog could have been stolen from anywhere. If he feels he wishes to hold onto the dog then he must do so after informing council dog warden and filling out a 28 day finder retention. After doing this the dog cannot be sold or rehomed and if he kept the dog it would never been his and if an owner is found much later he must returned to the owner!
