should add that without the wonderful microchip this would never have happened. one of the best inventions ever - but sadly looking on doglost every day there are still so many dogs that either have no chip or the details are out of date

Delighted to report that we received a telephone call from Somerset Dog Warden this morning advising us that they picked up Smithy yesterday in Yeovil so we travelled down this morning to pick him up. He's very smelly and thin but very glad to see us and be back home. Don't know what has happened to him over the last 3 months he's been gone but hopefully he'll settle back in quickly. Thank you to everyone who looked out for him.

Just seen this post 1 hour ago - might be this smithy https://www.facebook.com/EastbournePoliceUK/photos/a.569015296475992.1073741828.568114766566045/1229241667120015/?type=3. PLEASE SHARE - After an alert from Dorset Police we've arrested three men suspected of theft and burglary.
In their possession was this approximately 7 year old Jack Russell. We believe she may have been stolen. If you recognise her please get in contact by calling 101 and quoting 0752 of 25/08/2016.

Scatterbrooks: Just a thought - you said below that you had not notified rehoming centres "as he is microchipped" but above it says he is probably still microchipped to previous owner. I see she is in the know but perhaps a good idea to contact rehoming centres anyway - just in case they haven't found chip (they do move sometimes).

No, but as he is microchipped we assume that any re-homing centres would make contact.
