- Hi there. Yes we have contacted everywhere, done posters for the surrounding areas. I've spoken too many people from.different companies such as shelters and vets. We have searched everyday and we still can't find her or have had any sightings. This is really hard for us as we have tried & nothing seems too be working

- Owner please can you bring us up to date in what you have done to get April home. Have you postered the area. Have you given posters to local postmen, dustmen and paper boys. Asked supermarkets and shops to display posters. Contacted vets, taxi ranks and firms. Don't forget schools will be going back soon offer a reward towards school funds if they will poster.

- Hello Clarkey. I don't remember a tag and the lady who picked it up looked it over but like I say I only had a brief look so basing this all on my recollection. Looking at the extra picture of April put up I would have said the collar I saw was for a bigger dog. It seemed a strange place to loose a collar and not notice it as most people would have a dog on a lead and it didn't look new.

- Thanks JessCornwell1994 for letting us know about the sightings in Eastbourne.
Thanks for that information Steve: just wonder if you noticed if there was a tag on the collar please?
I had a chat with JessCornwell1994 this evening. It's quite possible that someone has taken April in and not reported finding her to the Dog Wardens (as is required by law) as it's very hard to get in touch with the out of hours service in this area so maybe there'll be some good news in the morning. It's also possible someone may take her to a vet to check for a microchip tomorrow so fingers crossed she will be found soon.
If not, then I strongly advise posters, posters and more posters both in Lewes and in Eastbourne. This is the best way to get sightings and information come in to you. Try to put them in places where a lot of people will see them. Large ones in the streets etc and you can reduce them to A5 size and leave a bunch in pets shops, farm shops, at bus stops, entrances to footpaths, car parks, village halls etc. These are also good for handing out to anyone you meet whilst postering and searching. Please let us know where abouts you have put posters up so that anyone helping does not go to put them up in the same area.
Best of luck for tomorrow. Please let us know how you get on. - 2016-08-29 21:17 Steve
- Hello Jess Cornwell - no dog nearby or I would have tried to hold on to it. The collar was on the south side of Lansdown Place somewhere around the point St Nicholas lane meets Lansdown I think. My recollection of the collar was something like the amazon link below but i literally only looked for a second. It had this type of clip and about an inch wide and pinkish.I have been back down to see if i can find it but no success. Hope you get her back soon.

- Hi Steve. Do you know of there was a dog near the collar? If so do you know which window sill the collar was placed on? As down lansDowne place majority of those buildings are shops. Was the collar bright pink and quite chunky.

- This is probably unrelated but on sunday a lady walking in front of me picked up a nylon style pink dog collar with plastic style clip connectors and put it on a windowsill. This would have been around midday on Lansdown Place near the station in Lewes.
