REUNITED!!! Been out for the past couple of hours with the Dog Warden and the Farm Manager plus a couple of friends to try and catch him. Several people had reported seeing him to the Dog Warden who later this morning had a call from the owner who believed he was stolen yesterday morning as collar had been left behind in the garden and had actually been undone. He reckoned as the dog could be wary of strangers and was a bit sharp, the thief then dumped him here about 10 miles from where he was taken from. We managed to get him in sight and keep him there and after quite a while the owner turned up and the dog lept straight in his truck. So relieved!!Last edited: 2016-08-30 14:43:02 by Debbi-Jayne

Thank you Debbie-Jayne,as we know lurchers are seen as disposable dogs in some circles. So pleased he/she has someone like you trying to help x
Esther
Debbie-Jayne, thank you for your efforts. Sorry I am too far to help. Not trying to be a pain but just wondered if you have tried sardines ? People have had a lot of success with them. Good luck

An extremely long shot.
No chance it is "Licuza",the grey/white female Romanian rescue dog-89568 missing on 17/7/2015 in the Tilney region?
Dogs do travel.
Good luck and wish I drove and lived near.

This poor dog sounds like it has been dumped from a van-so upsetting that he seems to want to go back to owners who obviously don't want him. People sicken me sometimes. Good Luck Debbi-Jayne so hope you get him.

I Stayed out there until gone midnight but he wouldn't come close enough. I went back there again this morning and there he was still. Heartbreaking as he kept chasing cars and vans and then coming back to wait in the farm layby. Will go back again after I've sorted out my own dogs for another couple of hours. He knows the sound of my van now and maybe eventually I will gain his confidence. He's a very small lurchery type bless him. I will try and get a better photo of him today as it was late last night when I took the others!
