- I have now had confirmation from the family that the deceased dog handed into the vets is sadly Tilly. She was found a couple of minutes away. This has been a very difficult missing dog case in attempting to assist this family but although not the news I had hoped to give to the family, at least they now know what happened to this elderly girl and can have closure. Thanks must been given to Domory Vets in Blandford Forum for making extensive enquiries and to everyone who shared her post on facebook as it was by pure chance a staff member saw one of the posts that had been shared of Tilly hence were able to find the owner. It seems there was an old microchip found in Tilly which was the only thing that didnt fit, although it was from many years ago registered to an ad hock rescue who kept no records. the owners knew nothing about the chip but were able to name the rescue hence it was this detail the vets needed confirmation of to confirm that it was Tilly. Run free little one

- Some sad news of a deceased jrt having been handed into a local vets around the time and in the area Tilly went missing. Tillys family have been made aware and though yet to be confirmed do suspect it to be her :(

- Maybe a similar dog in on the Neath and Port Talbot Council site (S Wales) - might be worth a look - https://www.npt.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=10052

- Although was ruled out by owner, JTR found in Eastbourne has been double checked with the Police directly. Police have come back to me to confirm after contacted Tilly's owner due to certain factors in the case, it is definately not Tilly.

- Thanks Phoebe7791. Initial enquiries have led to thinking the JRT found with Millie in Eastbourne is not Tilly but this is being double checked

Tilly is an old Jack Russell with quite large ears and longish snout. She is my mother's beloved pet and went missing believed stolen from Kings Road in Blandford. Sweet natured dog. She was not wearing a collar. Please if you think you have Tilly near you call me on 01295 270829. Unfortunately I have no photo of Tilly but she looks very like this photo. She is brown, white and sandy coloured. - 2016-08-30 17:43 Sue - onestopalldogs
