- Leighcats and dogs have what looks like a beagle in their found stray dogs section - maybe this was the sighted one? Markings aren't the same as Sams http://www.leighdogsandcatshome.co.uk/lost-dog-information/stray-dog-procedures/#jp-carousel-4207

- Nik how did they get hold of Sam's owners number? Does anyone else not think this is odd? Maybe they got the number off Sam's tag and are playing silly?

- We'd just like to make you aware that there's a poster been produced by an irresponsible little group. It has listed the elderly owner's home number and says there is a reward. The owner knows nothing about this and has received some distressing hoax phone calls. Please do not share any posters other than the DogLost ones.

- Marlene and I put up a lot more posters and I gave out some flyers. A lot more postering needs doing on the Trees estate. I bumped into the owner who was driving round looking for Sam, we had a chat and I advised him to empty contents of his vac outside his gate, and to perhaps leave a trail of tissues or something, if he goes out looking for him. Bless him, he got very upset and teary, he nearly had me going. I tried to be positive saying he could come home at any moment, but I have the feeling someone has taken him in. Went over the Westtleigh park and lit a BBQ with sausages on, for about an hour to entice him out if he was hiding there, but no sightings.

- We have been alerted to a possible sighting at Westleigh Park near the brook at around 2pm yesterday, this was posted on Absolute Leigh's facebook page by a gentleman called Adam Murphy, I will print off posters and poster the park tonight when I finish work just in case and have a look around

- Been out for 3 hours tonight, but no sighting. Sam was spotted yesterday being chased by local kids in the road for about an hour (spotted by a lady who works at the care home opposite Sam's home) but no sightings today. We have more members of team beagle lost and found going out tomorrow to check LC&DH and to poster the area. Sam has apparently been found previously at the commercial units across Westleigh/Kirkhall Lane (owner confirmed this to me).

- Added to Team Beagle Lost and Found page on fb. I rang the out of hours number on LC&DH website and a girl who answered said no beagles there at the moment. Elderly owner is out looking for his dog, his wife is a bit hard of hearing apparently but is at home. I will ring LC&DH again tomorrow and go and put posters up if necessary

- Sorry to see that SAM is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (104232)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
