- Hi Everybody,
Excellent news, as mentioned below, Jess was picked up by someone in Church Lawford I understand and taken to a local vet this afternoon. She is now home and sleeping after eating, drinking and lots of cuddling. I have never been so glad to see a dog before in my life, it has been a horrible weekend. Thank you to everyone for thinking about, communicating about and looking out for her and thank you in particular to Pawprints animal rescue in Rugby, Animal House Vets and the kind man whose name I don't know but who picked her up and took her to the vet today. We are very grateful to you all and to have her back safely again as we had been losing hope. Best wishes, Julie - 2016-09-04 15:06 Unknown

- Have you tried leaving her bedding or something that smells of you near where last seen? Also sprinkling some of your pee? You could contact www.k9tracker.co.uk

- Thanks to everybody for their interest and help in looking for Jess. She went missing in the fields next to the church in Church Lawford, CV23 9EG on friday evening when frightened by a large dog.
She has red shaggy hair (no other colouration apart from red) and a black nose and lips. She is probably wet so looks quite slender when her hair is drenched. This is very uncharacteristic behaviour for her as she is quite a cautious dog who likes to stay close to home and she has never been out of Church Lawford before (apart from to the vet).
Thanks very much for looking,

- You could try the scent trail laying .. good luck. Will share poster.
* Posters work ! Print off the doglost.co.uk posters with a mobile contact number and put outside garages, Banks, dog walking sites, supermarkets, postal sorting offices, bus stops, rough pubs (where dogs get traded). Expect the odd hoax call.
* Familiar smells help guide them back home. Put outside your home (or where they went missing) their favourite food, unwashed family laundry, contents of your hoover bag, some of your urine and leave out a familiar toy). These smell of 'home' and can be detected from far away.
* Make sure there is someone in the area they went missing from in case they return. Keep quiet and sit low down or on the floor and do not rush to the dog.
* Don’t shout your dog’s name anxiously - they won't recognise the tone of your voice. Call as you would normally. After a few hours dogs may go into survival mode and calling will not work.
* Search in a triangular area - Dogs go from A to B to C to A (as they pick up their own scent and follow it) when they’re lost.
* Set up a team of spotters once the dog has been seen.
* Alert local FACEBOOK GROUPS (selling pages, dog groups) Dog wardens, vets, dog walkers, rescue centres, Police (a dog counts as lost property).
