- Just seen a post on RSPCA Essex South & Southend Dogs Needing Homes, that these two are now happily rehomed together to their guardians. They are both looking good, so pleased for them.

- Who knows Pat but at least they are safe and in trusting caring hands.

- Latest update on these lovable pair:
They are both doing so well and are both blooming adorable. They are now in the care of the RSPCA. Mum and pup are under the care of the Animal Health Trust. Mum is more than likely going to have a prosthetic boot/leg and Pip the pup has had extensive test and an MRI and it has shown that she has a bit of her brain missing. She will lead a relatively normal healthy life thankfully but will have continued check-ups. She is completely blind in one eye and only a tiny bit of vision in the other and requires drops everyday but we are so pleased she will have a happy life.

- only too happy to send a cheque for vet bills - but difficult to read from here if the cheque should be made payable to rspca, the vet or via doglost. please put on this page which it is - as i expect there are other people like me to prefer to send a cheque and dont do paypal, just giving etc. thankyou - and death sentence to the person who abandoned these little creatures

- Donation made via text. Poor things, I hope they now have the chance to have the life they both deserve, Vanessa

- Little sweethearts bless them both. This is a result of deliberate breeding to produce so called teacup style dogs and there is no need. If you want a such a small dog get a gerbil.

- So you've probably seen in social media and the local paper, little Peg and Pip, the Mum and 6 week old puppy Chihuahua's abandoned by the A127.
They're safe in our care now and settling into their foster home. Peg, the mum, has no hind left paw and this will need surgical attention.
Tiny 6 week old puppy Pip is also still under veterinary care. She has 'water on the brain' and has little, if any vision. Her blink reflex is not there and she has to have artificial tears 6 times a day currently. However she has improved a little over the last few days. Her head swelling has reduced and she is playful and bright.
They're having another vet visit tomorrow and we will discuss their options and we're expecting Peg will be referred for specialist treatment for her hind leg, possibly as a candidate for a prosthetic leg/paw at Fitzpatrick Referrals.
We will need to fund raise a lot for this lovely pair whilst they have treatment and recovery. So please help us if you can, we'll post options for donating shortly and any events or fundraisers that anyone wants to arrange for them will be very welcome!
To start us off if you'd like to donate by Texting FIXU44 £10 (or whatever you can spare) to 70070 to make a difference today. All funds raised will go directly towards their care and rehabilitation. Please don't offer to re home them yet, as they are far from ready. We'll keep you posted with updates. - 2016-09-08 23:19 skyninchar

- Really hoping for a good outcome for these two. Thanks RSPCA and Basildon Dog Warden.

- The Southend Brand of the RSPCA have kindly agreed to continue with the care of these two pooches, Mum will more than likely need a prosthesis and the little Pip Squeak will need on going extensive care if she pulls through.

- Thanks Veronica, I couldn't find any matches either.

- Been through all lost chihuahuas and found very few merles. None matched the colours of these two.
Pebbles 62745; Tramp 49023; male 32791; Marley 19341; Ammie 19342
Such an unusual colour. Someone must surely recognise them.
