- No I checked this site and all the others. It seems that he wasn't wanted or maybe something happened to the owners - though he has definitely been a working dog. He has a new life with me now and is learning beautifully.

- Popsicle is the blind dog that is up for rehoming listed on Doglost at all ? yes it also makes me wonder too how many blind collies is there in one area .
- 2017-03-04 10:50 Popsicle
- The RSPCA only just posted the photo on site. Don't have my own pic. Would have to send a link. It's a bit confusing as I didn't contact the owners first. I contacted the RSPCA today who told me the owners had seen the dog posted and are visiting today to check him out. In fact I only just now phoned the contact no here and was told he was confirmed yesterday as sadly not Bill. Maybe there is another family missing a blind collie. How many missing blind collies in this region can there be?
The RSPCA is going to update me as I am interested if he is not claimed.Last edited: 2017-03-04 11:00:49 by Popsicle - 2017-03-04 10:27 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Can you send photo to admin@doglost.co.uk please. Thank you for contacting owners so they can check out.

- My beloved border collie died recently and I have been looking at dogs needing rehoming to fill the empty space in my home and heart. Yesterday I found a beautiful blind collie at an RSPCA kennels. It had been handed in as a stray. Today I did a search for lost blind collies and found Bill who looks so similar. So many things check out... So I contacted the kennels and the owner - having just seen the dog on the RSPCA site - is actually visiting today to check it out. Part of me is gutted and part of me is hoping for a reunion for this lovely dog and his humans. Last edited: 2017-03-04 10:31:08 by Popsicle

- following doglost i have noticed that blind dogs unfortunately mostly end up being found in rivers/lakes/ponds/streams - i dont know the area where bill was lost and i do hope this has not happened to him. it is so so sad that so many dogs go missing and we never know where they are. its more than 3 weeks now

- So sorry Bill is missing. I came across Craig Richardson a dog trainer & Behaviourist - Website www.dogtrainer.co.uk - who says on his home page in his spare time he enjoys tracking & scent training with his German Shepherd, as I read you were looking for a dog tracker. He is in West Lancashire Tel No: 01704 834951 Mobile 07715 489544 Facebook West Lanc Canine Centre. I'm in Lancaster. Told both our dog walkers. One who runs around there sometimes. Have a collie. Thinking of you. Good Luck xxxLast edited: 2016-09-10 08:52:12 by Fiona Howarth

Update from Andrea his mum:
Day 6 and Bill is still missing and out there. I've put posters up so if someone has him and is walking him ......well their ain't many blind collies out there! He's a biggish smooth haired dog, mainly black with some white and very handsome. Please keep your eyes peeled. It's difficult to tell that he is blind but on closer inspection his eyes are a bit glazed. Thank you all for sharing And looking X

- This possible sighting was alerted to the owner on Saturday morning, do you or anyone you know travel / live this way? Please keep looking out for him xx
Hi I don't want to build your hopes up but we were driving out to Quernmore this morning at about 10.30 am. We saw a collie wandering up the road just beyond the Proctor Moss Lane crossroads ...there is a bit of a wiggle in the road with a house on the left. We didn't think anything of it at the time as it turned off the road and into a driveway but now we have read your post we think it did look a bit disorientated. I hope you find him soon and that he is fine.
