- There's just been a programme on Channel 5 called Dog rescuers with Alan Davies. Featured a found raccoon dog. No other details I'm afraid, but you might want to check it out in case it could be Derek? Fingers crossed x

- Have you contacted the RSPCA in case someone has thought they had a Badger in their garden? Also call the Badger group...this is the one nearest you Phone 02380 - 617 551 and tell them that your pup looks very like one and see if they have had any notifications .....is he chipped?Get tons of posters out and as I said get hold of the local papers they should be intrested as it is an unusual case ,contact all vets in your area as well as the Animal Hospitals you have a few up there send posters to them x

- Information from owner....
Thank you so much for getting in touch,
Yes he went missing from the garden, he was accidentally let out of his enclosure by my partners brother who is autistic and can have difficulties remembering to shut the door.
He is three months old in a few days, and I don't know if it makes a difference but he is very friendly, he calls to people if you talk to him and will run up to you, wag his tail and then sit down to be picked up!
I have advised to alert neighbours in case he is hiding in a shed or under one. Also to have posters in any area near where dogs maybe walked off lead.
If any helpers in this area please print posters and may people seeing him would not know what he is.

- I have alerted to one of our coordinators as he would know how best to deal with this one.
If unsure of them do not attempt to handle just report to owner to try and keep contained- maybe put a box over it.
Most sleep during the day- they look for warm place usually up high but depending on age might find a place lower.A puppy would be vulnerable to other dogs etc if loose they may try to attack it..
If they have had the puppy for a few months he may find his way back home. Any sighting will need to bait a trap with usual food - but keep watch as may trap other animals.
This is NOT like a puppy dog so normal methods will not work like scenting etc. It needs a sighting and get a trap or phone owner ASAP
Asked for more information as to how old this puppy is and how went missing etc - 2016-09-04 23:37 JANI
