- Other Info Mars is a very affectionate and friendly cat. Athletically built and very fast; usually prefers to run everywhere rather than walk. Small build, petite, with tiny neck and large green eyes. She is used to coming and going but tends not to wander too far from home. Her disappearance is most unusual for her as she has always been home for mealtimes and bedtime.

- We are delighted that Mars is now back home with us. She was locked in someone's garage - they left on Friday and came back yesterday evening - found the leaflet through their letterbox and went to check the garage on the off chance she could be in there... out she bolted. They telephoned to let me know what had happened and to say she would shortly be home as she ran off and jumped a fence. I called for her out the back door and within seconds she was over the fence and straight home! She was very hungry but otherwise in good spirits. Thank you for everyone's help! Much appreciated xx

- It is also a good idea to call her very late at night or very early morning...less background noise so if just lost she can fix your voice.

- We're not 100% sure that the sighting was indeed of her, however, I have leafleted that area this afternoon. I went to the Evesham CPL today and gave them a poster and they will put that up on their noticeboard too; she hasn't been handed in to them either. Will keep you posted. Thank you.

- At least there has been a sighting. What can happen is that a cat that is new to the area will sometimnes chase/frighten a cat even out of it`s own territory. However the cat usually returns home. This may be what has happened here. She may have found a hidey hole. As she has been sighted in the area you could borrow a cat trap from Cat Protection. It costs £50, but is refundable when the trap is returned. When you have her back I would keep her indoors for a week perhaps? She is no doubt being fed by someone. Paws xd. Keep us posted

- We have had a potential sighting of Mars within the St Marks, St Pauls and Charity Crescent Area of Evesham, WR11. I have gone out there this morning and spoken to the lady who reported the sighting in. A cat fitting the description of Mars and a cat not known to be a usual cat of that area, was seen once on Saturday 17th Sept in the morning and again in the afternoon. Anyone within the St Marks / St Pauls and Charity Crescent Area of Evesham, please be on the lookout. Thank you

- Thank you Janiejewel for your tips. I contacted all the vets in the area and sent them photographs, flyer for placing on their noticeboards etc. None of the vets have had her brought in. I did the same with the local CPL, though I have not had feedback from them. Flyers with photographs and full details made and distributed in the local area requesting everyone to please look in sheds, garages etc. Whilst Mars has been living with us for 6 months, she is new to the area as I adopted her from a Cat Shelter in Turkey. She is a very friendly and affectionate cat, but not used to living on the streets and not streetwise. She was dumped at the shelter as a kitten and they kept her in their cabin there and then in quarantine, awaiting her trip to the UK. Having come from Turkey, she also doesn't like the cold, so she would definitely not willingly be outside when she can be at home next to a radiator... I will go door-knocking today. I do not believe she will be receiving food from anyone

- She is spayed so my best guess would be that as it is out of character for her to miss meal times is that she may be locked in a shed, garage, greenhouse etc. Ask neighbours to check their outbuildings too. It is possible that someone is feeding her perhaps. Try tempting her with tuna, and call her. I would walk around the area first holding something with her scent on, and rattle some treats as you do. Try a squeaky toy as you call her, and she may respond if locked in somewhere. Leave some scented items of hers; blanket say (Your scent too_ Poster around the area, and put "Lost" posters through doors asking everone to check all their outbuildings including cellars. Cats are very inquisitive
