19/11/2016 *****UPDATE***** REHOMED
Jessie left me this morning to start her new life in her forever home.
I have had the most amazing journey with this girl, many highs & many lows but with time, love and trust she will be the most amazing dog, and her chosen home are in a position to offer unconditional love. She went there last weekend for a sleepover and all was a great success! and yes they have another dog and the two get along brilliantly. Jessie has been spayed, microchipped vaccinated, wormed & Advocate and all funds have been raised locally by the people of the area in which I live. Please note I was Jessie's guardian, She was not sold, she was never mine to sell. New owners have agreed to keep my details as a secondary contact on her microchip details.... High lights of her time with me have been made into a small video on my face book page.....please have a look.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE ON DOG LOST FOR YOUR HELP, SHARES, ADVICE. FOR ME YOU ARE THE PRIME SEARCH PLACE I LOOK AT FIRST. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.XXX
THANK YOU XXXXX

UPDATE....This girl still remains unclaimed, she has done her 28 days + 1 day grace. This morning she had a very important date with the vet to have her vaccinations and microchip. She now has an identity. She has gained 2.5 kg in weight and looks a completely different dog. She is booked in to be spayed in two weeks time. I have trained her to come back on the whistle, she has ticked all the boxes in everything....
Thank you to every one on Dog Lost for pushing out the information, the constant searching of records and for all your help. I will give you a final update when this little lady is rehomed. Thank you xxLast edited: 2016-10-18 10:27:12 by Judy - Area Volunteer - Somerset
Esther
Judy, I am sure you will miss her when she leaves you. Springers have such huge personalities and are wonderful dogs. Please le us know how things go for her
JulieH
Can't believe that an owner hasn't come forward ,beautiful dog x
DogLostJudy - Area Volunteer - Somerset
UPDATE: No one has come forward to claim her and we now approach the final week. Her 28 days expire Sat 15th Oct. She has been pushed out wide on social media sites, posters, word of mouth. She continues to grow in confidence, craves affection, and loves being outside exploring. She has an apt for vaccinations next week (if remained unclaimed) and of course microchip so she has an identity!! A few sessions of hydrotherapy to help strengthen her back leg muscles then she will be ready to be rehomed....(This is one little girl that will break my heart)..x
Juls
Lovely dog , hope she had a loving home forever x
JulieH
Thanks for all you are doing for this lovely dog x
Jane
Hi Judy, you are this dogs life at the moment, I do hope she gets a beautiful home and everything she deserves - well done you!
Esther
That is great news. Sounds like a proper beautiful springer now. Well done x

To date still unclaimed..she has come a long way in such a short space of time and stands tall on her back legs now rather than crouching. she is intelligent, sharp, so eager to please, is gaining weight in the right places although still a bit too lean. gets plenty of exercise, loves the water and in general...she is loving life and being a dog!! (please see my F/B page for pictures of her.. Still many pictures being sent through but sadly none of them are this dog.. xx
Esther
Hi Judy any up dates on this lovely girl ?

Rubybella Thank you for your concern..I have a list as long as my arm for people wishing to adopt this dog She is currently in my care for 28 days in which time I will try to find her rightful owner. My plan will be then to get her spayed and microchipped before I consider letting her go to a loving forever home. Whist she is in my care I will assess her in everything. There will be a slow steady transitional period so this dog Jessie gets to know her new owners before I let her go. I have been successful with this method before.. a few hours became half a day, became a full day then a sleep over..it was smooth, no stress and dog and owner were very happy....and the best part is when we meet the dog remembers me..... I love it. x

IlovemyboyBarclay... quite possibley. Signs indicate excessive breeding, very large teats, back r leg splays outward suggesting hip problem.... either genetic, from breeding or lack of muscle through lack of exercise. I will make an apt with a physio to assess her and see whether a course of hydrotherapy will benefit her.
Rubybella
Hi Judy. Thanks for caring for this dog. Can I ask that you contact Spaniel Aid if after the 28days no owner has been found and you are not keeping her. They will place her in a foster home, assess her and then look to find her an adoptive home.
Thanks again.
IlovemyboyBarclay
Could this gorgeous girl be from a puppy farm? Since she is matted, got urine stained, smelly, and bred from. Is she timid at all?
I hope an owner comes forward xx But well done Judy for being so caring and looking after her :)

Hi Donna & Owl, This dog is not Libby. Facial markings are very different. But Thank you so much for continually searching the site. x
DogLostOwl
I have looked carefully and I don't think the facial markings are a match with Libby. But perhaps Judy would like to double check, since she has the found dog there for comparison.
Donna
Could it be Libby doglost ID 99008?h

Simbarose
Bless you Judy for taking her in. Gorgeous girl such a sad face. Given her condition could she be a puppy farm girl?
Veronica

This dog (we are calling her Jessie) has been registered with Mendip District Council. The Dog Warden for the area has been in touch with me and Jessie will stay with me for the next 28 days rather go into kennels. (or until an owner comes forward.
I had her checked by my vet this morning (19/9/16) to double check there was no microchip, and to check her state of health. She is on the lean side, has been bred from, and is currently very matted, urine stained and pretty smelly which will be dealt with.
