- Great news.
Welcome home Poppy. X - 2016-09-21 16:12 Baydogs
- Absolutely great news that she has been found. Couldn't be happier for these owners. Well done to all the volunteers helping , especially Anne, and the elderly couple who caught her.
You can return to home tomorrow with your girl Rachel. Hope the injured eye turns out to be nothing too serious x

- Poppy has been found. :) There were locals & voulunteers helping today & Rachel said they had been listening down rabbit holes with a hose & funnel. It was just after one of our helpers, Anne, had left that she ran out onto Rock beach, towards Daymer Bay, where she was caught by an elderly couple. Rachel thinks Poppy heard Anne's voice & managed to wriggle free. She is fine apart from a sore eye, which they are getting checked out at vets.

- Please can someone explain to me why Jenny and tiga can track up to two weeks after the dog was last seen, but k9 search dogs can only track if it was seen within 8 hours? Suppose it is too far for Jenny to travel? And Rachel, do scent the area if not done already, use your diluted pee.Last edited: 2016-09-21 14:00:54 by Skywalker99

- Don't lose hope Rachel, you're doing everything you can for her.
Is it worth scenting the area where she was last seen just in case she returns to that place? It would help keep her in the area until someone spots her.

- Thanks Max. Unfortunately it can't be seen by non FB members. Could it possibly be made public?
It says it is public on Cornwall FB link but asks me to log in....?Last edited: 2016-09-21 14:00:47 by Baydogs - 2016-09-21 13:42 Max - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland

- K9 search dogs (bloodhounds) have been contacted but told owner that it was too late.
Fell and Moorland still to be approached.
I'm way down the line but have offered to loan some kit if Fell and Moorland cannot help.
Rachel, don't lose hope. It is early days yet xLast edited: 2016-09-21 13:05:47 by Baydogs - 2016-09-21 11:47 Baydogs
- Rachel, sorry to hear that Poppy is still missing. Any luck with help from Fell and Moorland?

- Thank you to you all for your help so far in particular to Anne Taylor who is out looking still. We have done everything suggested except as far as Polzeath so will go there today with posters. I need return to Glos tomorrow dreading the journey without her. But I am trying not to lose hope, thank you again

- I have left a message on phone number, suggesting they may try to contact a local rep from the fell & moorland terrier group, who recently rescued a patterdale in Manchester that was stuck down a hole. They may be able to offer some good advice or even help!

- Have they asked the people who run the golf course between Rock and Daymer Bay? Very rabbity there. Oops Baydogs, I see you have suggested that. They need to take publicity as far as Polzeath as it is easy to get there along from Daymer via what I think is called the Greenway, also full of burrows.Last edited: 2016-09-20 19:05:15 by Owl

- How worrying for her owners. Hope she is soon located.
They may have done so already, but two good contacts could be Cornish Sea Tours-
https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g528872-d2248702-Reviews-Cornish_Sea_Tours-Rock_Cornwall_England.html
as they might spot Poppy on the beach from a boat.
And St Enodoc Golf Club-

- I have made contact with the owner. It seems they had been for a walk & were near the ferry slipway admiring the view, when Poppy suddenly ran off. It seems she may have got scent of a rabbit or something. Have given further advice & will email advice sheets. Dog warden/local vets/radio stations aware. Posters going out & owner getting more printed off.
