Thank you all so much. We are over the moon it is really quite surreal. Just a huge huge thanks to everyone who shared, liked, commented on our posts and gave us leads. It was social media and the public at their very very best coupled with a police force who took it seriously and were amazing. Poppy is having s check up this morning but she seems well and has enjoyed her walk with Tumble this morning. Thank you all so much xxx

I hope the scum who caused her & her owner so much distress is prosecuted. Too many stolen dogs end up in Essex & Kent. Perhaps the focus should be on these areas to rescue more.... stay safe now Poppy x

Here is the update from Poppy's people: x We have the most amazing news. POPPY IS HOME!!!!!!!
We can't say very much at the moment because there is an ongoing Police investigation but from the very bottom of our hearts we would like to thank Northamptonshire Police and every single person who shared Poppy's page, poster, sent encouraging messages or information. She wouldn't be curled up in her bed next to Tumble right now if it wasn't for the amazing power of social media, decent people and some wonderful people at the Police. THANK YOU

I am so sorry to hear Poppy was stolen , I haver posted on my face book the registration number of the white van. I live in Saxmundham Suffolk and I will print posters I am just waiting for my inks to arrive from HP. I have a Sprocker Spaniel called Sweetie and I could not imagine having her stolen so I always tell people to watch out for vans stealing our pets. I hope Poppy is returned to you soon keep positive I know it will be hard but I will look out for her as in this area of East Anglia there are loads of spaniels because of it being so rural so I will do my best for you allxxx

Really frustrating but the police have come back to me overnight to say that it is HARLOW ESSEX Poppy could have been taken to on the 21st. There seems to have been some confusion but the officer has assured me that he has been back through the records and this is definite.

The police have just informed me that it is not in fact Harlow but HOUNSLOW, MIDDLESEX where she could have been. It seems there was a mix up and it was put on the log wrongly.

I know i have just worked this out. that is waht the police told me. am on hold at the momnet to see if they mean hounslow near heathrow or harlow in essex. Will update as soon as i possibly can when i have got through

Hi gillywrathall I am Karen, simbarose is my user name on Dog lost. My Chocolate Cocker girl ID 99179 was also taken from me so I do know what you are going through. I follow many Cockers on this site and any missing dogs in my area of Kent. Be brave and don't give up hope it only takes that one person to do the right thing that gets her home to you. Hi sorry not to have replied to any of the comments yet, as you can imagine it is a horrid time. Am overwhelmed by the response nationally, sure this has to make her too hot to handle? Thank you also to whoever updated by area, Northamptonshire is on the border and i picked the wrong one. Just praying she ends up somewhere where she can be scanned for her chip. Hi Reynard have pinned poppy's fb page to front of my smart phone. I would phone owners if ok with them if I get anything that might be urgent for them to see. Hope this gorgeous little one is home safe soon. I know what its like to have your friend stolen and get hoax and scam callers. The ad when sharing it says stolen from East Anglia but Poppy was stolen from 'Central' as her poster says - can you correct this please. Northamptonshire is not East Anglia.

Hi As I am still looking for my own stolen Cocker Girl I am on many selling and lost/found sites with automated alerts sent direct to my email address for ads relating to Cocker spaniels.
Gumtree, preloved. freeads are all free to join Maybe Poppy,s owners could join these sites and get alerts direct. Either way I will share anything I get alerted to.

Owner needs team of friends ti scour preloved..gumtree...puppies for sale...dragondriving websites all day long. If she's been taken to sell rather than breed from they will try to move her on quickly and use sites like this with a mob number but iften the ads are only up for a very short time so you need to be all over them. Unless number plate of van is cloned the police should gave accessxto registered address of it already but these guys usually use fake cloned plates.

Poppy was stolen TODAY from East Haddon Northants. She was bundled into a white Ford Connect Van believed to be reg AK52 ZDP. She is nearly six months and quite small for her age. She is chipped, has a docked tail and a small area of white on her bottom lip. She is much loved. REWARD FOR SAFE RETURN Please share posts and help get Poppy home. If you have her, have been offered a cocker puppy or have suspicions about who may have her, please do the right thing. We just want Poppy home

Sharon Davis Have just checked the reg no ad vehicle is taxed until August next year and mot until May 2017 so surely the police can check these details and go to registered keeper as they don't seem to be stolen plates.
