- After 10 months Charlie was reunited with his estatic owner due to excellent team work of DL Co-ordinators. Glynafon cross marched him in a rescue on 27.05.08, then through swift action his owner was contacted who confirmed it was him. This goes to prove even though DL site was out of action the Co-ordinators still beavered on behind the scenes to help reunite owners with their dogs. Charlie is MICROCHIPPED but it was not picked up by the Rescue. Welcome home Charlie Boy. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Gina has no comutar at the moment so relying on friend & our help to keep eye on dogs. Mount Pleasant dog already rehomed -that wan't Eddie either. Sorry that Chrlie also not one of the found dogs but will keep looking. He cant stay hidden foreverLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- pigs r us I got a phonecall from Mel, owner of Amy S66 about the Border in the kennels and passed info onto Pam. Stray dogs are kept for 7 days before being rehomed. If you visit any kennels leave a poster of Charlie and do keep checking on a regular basis in person. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Please check dog found on pupsandmutts website. She rescue 's dogs from around Yorkshire- she also normally checks this site to see if any dogs correspond. I've also spoken to Eddie's owners again to get them to check. There's a BT called Teddy- says 14mths old but doesn't say if dog is a hand in or picked up. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- This is interesting news, will have to pass onto Eddie's owner as she has no internet at the moment- but she does always have her phone on. They live in GReat Houghton so it may be worth you getting heads together,. Gina & James are both very on the ball, friendly ,helpful people who still looking for Eddie- no idea where he is thanks to certain person. Best not to start off about that again-not impressed or happy with supposed I found him & lost him again story. Hopefully this will give you the lead you need to get Charlie back.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- yes mel there are several Border terriers missing in this area............also there is a border terrier called Eddie who went missing in Grimethorpe woodsat the beginning of July. He was picked up from the area he was lost in and taken to Castleford by a lady that picked him up and then she claims she LOST him again ! He could be ANYWHERE by now !!So it would be wonderful if you can all look out for each others dogs when you are visiting local pounds. Pam xx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Saw the following message on Sheffield lost and found forum - not too unlike Charlie? Worth a try. "A medium sized terrier, larger dog x seen in woodhouse Coisley end today at 17.40hrs. Has a collar on couldn't see if it had a tag or not. The dog had a roughish coat and had ginger/red colouring slight build. I could not identify the sex. Very frightened and running, tail between legs etc. We saw it on Wolverley Road it went running over the main road as soon as i started to approach it. I have looked all over the village but suspect it is hiding or has got onto the fields as very fearful. I do not know who it is owned by."Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Have spoken to Charlies owner and she has done a lot of postering and informed vets etc. She is in contact with the local pounds and it is wonderful that Rachel is looking out for him too on her visits to Mount Pleasant. Maybe you two could get together and take it in turns to check both Mount Pleasant at Hampole and Cliffe kennels for each others dogs ? I spoke to the owner of 'Max' a rhodesian ridgeback recently reunited in Thursnscoe S63 and found out how he ended up in the everythingpetsrescue in Retford and it seems he was picked up in South Elmsall and taken to Marina kennels In Huddersfield and from there rescued by everything petsrescue who then matched him on our site ! Now usually dogs picked up in the area Max was picked up in I would expect to go to Mount Pleasant at Hampole so it is well worth both Charlies owners and maybe also Rachels checking with Marina kennels too ! - Hi Have handed leaflets out to dog walkers around hemingfield. Keeping our eyes open as there is a lot of open land around here. Our dog Molly has been gone for almost 2 weeks and I know how awful it is but keep searching. Dogs dont just disappear, they are both out there somewhere waiting to be found. Will be at Hampole dog kennels on Saturday so I will have a look for you. We go at least twice per week and phone all other local people (wardens, police, kennels etc) daily so I will keep asking after Charlie aswell. Really hope he is home soon. - pigs r us welcome on board DL and thanks for posting it really helps helpers when you keep us up to date. Keep up with the postering. It is important than you visit local kennels at least once a week and do not rely on phonecalls alone. There are a few dogs missing in the surrouding area and it will help if you all look out for each others dogs. Hope you soon find Charlie. Jan xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- I am away from the area at the moment but returning at the weekend. The owners must keep checking with Cliffe kennels which is the most likely place he would be taken to if picked up as a stray and also Mount Pleasant kennels at Hampole. Even though he is chipped they must keep checking regularly by phone with them and also visiting in person if possible.. Also have owners checked their contact details are still correct for the chip ? Dogs can be rehomed within a week so its really important to keep checkingWhen i get back I will get some postering done. Hurry home Charlie xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- As soon as Admin receives a photograph, the poster will be emailed out to helpers. Posters need to be displayed as soon as possible on notice boards, lamp posts, entrances to parks, dog bins and on cars. Take posters to vets, pet shops, postmen (for sorting offices), milkmen, dustmen, street cleaners, taxi drivers, schools, pubs, youth clubs, newsagents, post offices, takeaways, dog training clubs, supermarkets and car parks. Hand out reduced-down posters or cards to people - especially dog walkers - and deliver to houses and businesses. Police stations, Dog Wardens, the RSPCA and all rescue centres need checking frequently and preferably visited in person by owner or someone who knows Charlie well. Stay safe Charlie until we find you x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi. Also have a dog missing at the moment so know what you are going through. We live in Hemingfield and as soon as you have a poster available we will poster this and surrounding areas for you and put in local post office. Cliffe Kennels are worth a try, unsure of number but in phone book. Also Hampole in Doncaster are worth contacting as they take strays from Doncaster and Rotherham councils. Good luck and hope Charlie is home soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
