Well .... CUCHI IS HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a post that I dreamed that I'd be posting - but never took it for granted that we would reach this day..

My faith has been restored in most people, When the page was set up, it was just to alert local people to the fact that the car had been stolen with the dog inside - I hoped that people either side of the shop would come forward with the footage (as they have cameras pointing up and down outside the shop) in Thurlstone would check their CCTV and come forward - they didn't - despite the owners of the dog knocking the doors ..

It was then left to local people to share, search, put up posters, asking everyone they saw, join the page that had been set up for Cuchi - which they did, within a few hours - hundreds of folk had not only joined the site - but had joined the search for this beautiful boy.. There have been folk sharing the site, putting up posters, going out with torches on the Pennine trail, sharing on Social Media ie Facebook and twitter..

There has been a huge search party and while the owners have been camped our near Rob Royd Kennels Dawn Wood has been an angel letting them camp on her land , leave trails of their clothes etc - this lady went above and beyond any expectations - and also kept Cuchis owners in supplies of hot drinks and food etc

Wendy Godber with the tracker/sniffer dog has played a massive part in this reuniting of Cuchi with his owners - while everyone was shouting him - She advised Javid and Alicja Sz not to shout - but to sit in the bushes and that way - encourage Cuchi to them ... And it DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no words for this team effort, I am humbled and amazed by this community and how they have come together, Like I have said .. Every share, every post, every comment, every sighting, every photo, every poster put up, every phone call or offer of advice, every person that even went out of their way to ask folk, every game keeper that offered to share with the other game keepers, to all the folk sipping coffee at Wentworth Castle today - I'm sorry I interupted your lunch by telling you the story and then forcing flyers upon you .. But it was all worth it - As Cuchi is HOME XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Can admin add the word "injured" or "sighted" (or both) to get this lad some help? Last sighting is very close to the motorway and if that is where he was dumped he is likely to head back to it. Is there a search and local activity be where he was this morning? Big dog so easier to spot...

URGENT UPDATE ON FB:-
This beautiful boy was in his owners Mitsubishi Friday night when someone jumped in and stole it - with the dog inside ..
The stolen car was driven up towards Millhouse Green - and then judging by sightings, then drove down Stocksbridge bypass .. The dog was spotted the next day between Junction 36 and 37 of the M1 - so we can only imagine that the dog was thrown from the car at around Junction 36, he made his way towards Junction 37, The dog was seen on the M1 between J36 and 37 at lunchtime Saturday, the Police were called to many calls from the public describing the dog but when the Police arrived - he had bolted ...
Another sighting was around an hour later in Worsbrough near Wigfield Farm, many dog walkers and a horse rider described the dog injured and limping towards the Pennine trail ..
This boy will be cold, scared, hungry, maybe confused and injured .. Can anybody looking for Cuchi please take water, a bowl, a lead and a few biscuits and maybe a blanket and get him to the nearest vets or rescue to be scanned for his chip - his owners are frantic - as are all of us that know his owners and know the dog - he is a gentle soul but may be frightened - please share, please look for him, please share this group and please lets get him home xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
