- Sorry to hijack this alert but was anyone else shocked at the storyline that was on TVs Emmerdale last night and I suppose will continue about dognapping and that money can be made in doing so. God knows where this story will lead and what the repercussions will be!

- Yes, lock your dogs in the car when travelling (well said Veronica). I lock my boot separately just incase I get ambushed when driving down the country lanes. May sound extreme but so are a lot of the thefts happening now as they get more brazen. I also wear a GoPro walking my dogs. PLEASE get your dogs tattooed as well as chipped. It's a visual for the public.

Attempted dog theft took place in Crays Hill nr Billericay. Fortunately the owner was an ex policeman suspicious of the persistent activity of a following silver Ford FE06UEW.
He was able to slip into traffic as the passenger approached his rear door to remove the dogs...
