- Please could the owner check photos on this advert, Essex. Thankfully neutered because if it does happen to be this tiny dog, breeding would be risky. p://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/116222711/chihuahua-long-haired.html?link=%2Fsearch%3Fkeyword%3Dchihuahua%26sectionId%3D3359%26location%3DPreston%252C%2BLancashire%26advertType%3Dforsale%26orderBy%3DmostRecentLast edited: 2017-02-21 14:20:24 by Polly

- Sorry for long wait on reply! Been so busy trying to find these girls.
They were not seized, they were stolen.
They were supposed to be looked after in foster due to the owner suddenly being made homeless (there are a lot of details that I am not prepared to put up about the owners personal circumstances that lead to this because it is very distressing). It was agreed that she could visit regularly and help with pups, there is an agreement in place saying so. The forester never let her see her dogs again, in fact spent 4 weeks fobbing her off. The foster home told police the dogs were poorly but they weren't. I have known these dogs and the owner a long time and my kids were playing in the garden with them just days before they had to go to foster and they were happy healthy dogs. Lila wasn't even suppose to go with Honey and Cleo but the owner was persuaded to leave her to make things easier and come and visit all the time.
Once she left the foster refused to take their bedding, food, whelping boxes and all their home comforts. The owner was to go to the foster to help whelp the pups that were due but was told all pups were dead already! They were fine when she had brought them to the foster home.
The person who was supposed to foster decided they were puppy farm dogs and has told everyone she rescued them but they are not and never have been puppy farm dogs! The owner loves her girls and is still desperately searching for them.
They were all booked in for spay and dental (Lila had nearly died many times and the owner had nursed her through every time, as a result of her troubles her teeth aren't the best but she was under a vet and it was the recommendation that her teeth and tail tip weren't needed to be done until she was spayed and they could all be treated under one anesthetic)
These dogs slept on her bed at night, had a doggie door to the big garden so they could potter about as they pleased. They had a beautiful home and were spoilt rotten. I know because I have been there, the person who decided she couldn't have them back never went there, not even once.
The foster apparently doesn't have the dogs any more - they have been passed on but no idea where.
If the owner was a puppy farmer she wouldn't still be searching for her girls, she would still have their things waiting in the hope she finds them. A puppy farmer would drop them if they were spayed - she still wants them, she will cover the spay costs, pay adoption fees to a rescue, whatever it takes to get her babies back on her bed. Puppy farmers don't do that.
She did breed dogs in the past - she has never hidden that. The foster used this against her as a puppy farm. She did have one puppy in 9 years that despite regular worming did get worms (the vet who checked pup said this can happen) and one had dry skin. That was it. But they have spread all over social media that she sells sick dogs living in poor conditions which she never did, not in a million years would she do that. She gave up breeding and had the girls booked to be spayed and her stud snipped (he is staying with friends and snipped) but there was an incident beyond her control (again - I'm not going to spread personal issues as it isn't my place) but the stud was let free - hence the puppies. They were going to go to friends.
She loves them all, but she raised Lila and brought her back from the brink of death so many times - she has such a bond with her. Going in to foster was the first time they were ever apart for the whole of Lila's life.

- I heard that these 3 Chihuahua dogs were not stolen but were seized because of welfare concerns as they were being exploited for breeding. Are you able to confirm this so helpers don't spend time circulating dogs that don't need looking for? Thanks

- Debbie - yes, all together. They were in foster due to unforeseen emergency situation for the owner. They are dearly loved doggies. But foster had already decided to pass them on within 24hrs without notifying owner or telling us where they are. Owner is heart broken. Especially about Lila - she is her baby - this is their first time apart :(
