- great news! Hopefully will raise awareness of the importance of chipping and finding the real owner.

- I guess a lot of people do not remember the days before Dog wardens ,in my generation it was quite common to keep a dog that you found if you could not find an owner. We all knew what happened to the local strays .

- Great news and what a wonderful story. As for the lady who just thought she could keep a dog she'd found - well!
- 2016-12-30 20:48 JulieH
- Brilliant that all four are now home :)
- 2016-12-30 18:58 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- Fee wouldn't have been high as she was collected not long after being picked up, hence as reunited went onto SDK site she wasn't registered on our found list. Thank goodness owner was checking SDK looking for her.
- 2016-12-30 18:48 Hollieberry
- Yes it must be hard for the lady who cared enough to pay to get this dog out of kennels .
- 2016-12-30 18:45 ClaireC
- Really pleased to see back home again. Must be very sad for the other lady who has obviously cared very much and loved her as well!

- I am so pleased to be moving this girl over to the blue!!!
She was falsely claimed from the kennels by a lady who had found her a while ago and luckily cared for her well but was under the impression that as she was not chipped she could keep her. All four now back where they belong. X
She is now chipped. ☺

- Good luck and hoping she is back with rightful owner very, very soon.

- SDK should have an address for the person who claimed her, so the police should be able to follow this up, as there is a CRN. There is also perhaps a possibility that the wrong dog has been shown as reunited in error and the dog is actually still with them.

- Surprise surprise
- 2016-12-29 22:38 Unknown
- Looks like SDK have a lot to answer here.
- 2016-12-29 22:35 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- Will do. At least she looks well cared for wherever she has been. Owner has had her since she was a puppy, now 9 years old.
- 2016-12-29 22:20 Unknown
- I'm not shocked to be honest. As long as they got money that's all its about. Give me a shout if you need anything.
- 2016-12-29 21:22 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- Thanks, GillyP. We will be supporting owner in any way we can and if it is the case that they used those photos then I should think the person who saw the proof of ownership will remember.
She was registered as missing/stolen with Wycombe Council in October. - 2016-12-29 21:11 Unknown
- Had a situation recently with sdk who say they do all necessary checks before a dog is returned. Whoever claimed the dog I imagine they took the original photos from October to prove ownership. Awful.

- I have just had a call from the owner, this girl was found on 23rd December close to where she was stolen from.
She was added to the SDK found dogs web site but unfortunately states reunited!!!!
She is NOT reunited with her rightful owner, there is a crime reference number for the theft.

- 2016-10-13 20:34 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- As there are no sightings since the one was reported to have been left in a field we are now thinking that may have been untrue and she may still be with the person who took her or sold on so could now be anywhere.
